1 Change Phone Number
This document describes the Change Phone Number business triggered on the agent desktop.
1.1 Definition
Feature ID: Feature.FM.FMC.FLChgAddr.001
Description This feature enables operators to change ADSL/VDSL/FTTH phone number

for broadband a subscriber exiting in BSS. Changes phone number
includes:
- Change Phone Number with two installation methods : Terminate First/
Terminate Last
- Upgrade or Downgrade to new offer within Change phone number is
not supported. It will be done separately before or after order
submission.
- Resource Sales (CPE Sales) is not supported. It will be done separately
before or after order submission.
- In case of FTTH, customer can have two numbers, but only the primary
number is mandatory, and the secondary number is optional.

1.3.1 FC.FLChgAddr.001 Customer Authentication

Business Handling
After the customer authentication is passed, system will automatically display the customer 360
degree view
For details, Refer to BES TE FRS - 360 Degree View for Fixed Line Customer.
The 360-Degree Individual Customer View displays the information about the customer. The
operator can click the Change Fixed Line Phone Number button to display the Change address
Page.
1.3.2 FC.FLChgAddr.002 Check Availability

System validates the customer installation address by integrating with the 3rd-party systems.
For details, please refer to Availability Check of BES TE FRS – Register Fixed Line Subscriber.
After Checking the Availability system shall store the technology parameter ADSL/VDSL for the
new phone number that will be used later in the order creation.
Also in case there is a change Offer required due to limitation in the new location supported
speed or technology (like moving from ADSL to VDSL Also the offering can be changed due to
the customer willingness. So agent will switch to change offering screen to change to offer first
before order submission.
If the new location technology is ADSL then BES will create new ADSL Installation order , If the
new location technology is VDSL then BES will create new VDSL Installation order.

1.3.3 FC.FLChgAddr.003 Check Number Change

There is a check box for Change Number in the Change address page when the Agent
Check this option the UI to input the required parameters for change phone number is
enabled and agent can use it to submit the change number order.
The information displayed in the change phone number area depends on the subscriber he
is ADSL/VDSL or FTTH, refer to below GUI section for more details.
If the agent didn’t select this option in the change address page this means that only
change address is required, and no need for change phone number order.

1.3.4 FC.FLChgAddr.004 Installation Method Selection

Business Handling
The agent will capture the required installation method from the customer, and select one
of the following options for installation method selection:
 Terminate First : in this case the customer ask to cancel the service in the
old service number immediately then start service installation for the new
service number
 Terminate Last (default) : in this case the customer ask to cancel the
service in the old service number only after service installation for the new
service number is done
This parameter will be used to set the Terminate flag in OMS order Change phone number
that will be created by CRM during the fulfillment step as following:
- Terminate first then Terminate flag = “true”
- Terminate last then Terminate flag = “false”

Business Handling
The agent will Select the Line type as per the check Availability result that was triggered
earlier in the check Availability page, this option is valid only for ADSL/VDSL subscribers ,

but for FTTH subscribers there is no option as Line Type is “FTTH” , Line Types options
are:
 ADSL (default): the new phone number is in ADSL port so CRM will create
New Installation Order in OMS of type (“ADSL New Account”) during
fulfillment step. (Valid for ADSL/VDAL subscribers only)
 VDSL: the new phone number is in VDSL port so CRM will create New
Installation Order in OMS of type (“VDSL New Account”) during fulfillment
step.( Valid for ADSL/VDAL subscribers only)

- In case of ADSL/VDSL: The agent will input the new phone number captured from the
customer in the format of Area code (drop down list) and phone number (8 digits)
- In case of FTTH: The agent will input the following:
1- the new phone number captured from the customer in the format of Area code (drop
down list) and phone number (8 digits)
2- phone number 2 (Optional) In case two numbers and need to change both numbers
3- “Compound Name” as drop down
4- “Villa Number” as text

1.3.7 FC.FLChgAddr.007 New Service Number Validation

Business Rules
New service number should not be an existing subscriber number
Business Handling
After the agent inputs the new service number captured from the customer, agent press
Validate Button to validate that the new number is not belonging to any existing customer in
BES or in Legacy system as following:
1- System check the number internally first, Number should be available (Not Active, Not
pending Activation, Not pending Termination) in BES, otherwise system shall return
error message.
2- If Subscriber not fund in BES then Check in legacy system using “GetSubscriberInfo”
interface to be provided by IT that will do the same check in Legacy system , if exists
with Status “Active” system shall return error message. in case of failure due to
technical issue then BSS should switch to the existing DB dump which contain all
SIMBA customers with its billing status to be alternative way to validate.
3- If not found in BES and legacy or found in Legacy with status “Terminated” system
then then validation success.

1.3.10 FC.FLChgAddr.010 Order Creation

The subscriber does not have any pending order which is mutually exclusive with Change
Phone Number Order.

When agent submits the order, CRM internally creates one order for changing the address, with
or without Change Number information which will be waiting for the customer to pay for the
business fee.
1.3.11 FC.FLChgAddr.011 Payment

Business Rules
After the order is submitted, customer needs to make the payment if the order is chargeable.
Business Handling – Business Fee Payment

A common payment sub-process will be executed by CRM for the payment and the payment
info will be synchronized to CBS too, the receipt can be printed if customer needs.
For detail information, please refer to the payment sub-process.

1.3.12 FC.FLChgAddr.012 Subscriber Suspension

Business Rules
If the customer request to Terminate the old number first then system should stop service and
billing for the old number immediately. As system supports multiple suspensions, System will
trigger an operator request suspension with reason “Change Number” regardless the subscriber
was originally active or suspended by customer request.
Business Handling
If the Terminate flag is set to “First” then System will send two requests
1- Suspend subscriber in CBS to stop billing for the subscriber with Suspension reason “Change
Number”.
2- Disable subscriber in Matrix to stop service for the subscriber.
3- If subscriber is originally active then CBS will stop charging the subscriber, if subscriber is
originally suspended by customer request then CBS will continue charging for suspension fees.
Integration
3- System supports to integrate with Matrix/eMatrix to Disable Subscriber.

4- Refer to related ICD for detail.
1.3.13 FC.FLChgAddr.013 Create Change Phone Number Order

Business Rules
System will create Change phone number order with the installation method captured by the
customer (Terminate first/last) and also set required parameters for option pack, and Family
Filter if the subscriber already have.

Business Handling
For ADSL/VDSL:
The Installation method will be used to set the Terminate flag in OMS order Change phone
number that will be created by CRM during the fulfillment step as following:
- Terminate first then Terminate flag = “true”
- Terminate last then Terminate flag = “false”
System will create this Order in OMS but will not wait for it to complete the fulfillment
steps. OMS will process the order as per the provided parameters for ADSL/VDSL service,
including required parameters for Option pack and Family Filter.
For FTTH:
Same as ADSL/VDSL except that OMS will create an new order category for Change FTTH
phone number to be used by BES . for more details refer to OMS ISD
Integration
1- System supports to integrate with OMS to create orders /query /and get final status update.
2- System supports to integrate with Matrix/eMatrix to get Line owner name and exchangeID for the
new service number that is required for OMS order.
1.3.14 FC.FLChgAddr.014 Create New Installation Order

Business Rules
System will create New Installation order with the new address captured by the customer, and
also set required parameters for option pack, and Family Filter if the subscriber already have.
Business Handling
The system will create Nee Installation order in OMS with order type dependent on the line
type value as following:
- If line type is ADSL then OMS type is “ADSL New Account”
- If line type is VDSL then OMS type is “VDSL New Account”
- If line type is FTTH then OMS type is “FTTH New Account”
If the address change is included then the new address will be sent to OMS , otherwise the
existing service address in CRM will be sent to OMS.
System will create this Order in OMS and waits for it to complete the fulfillment steps as per
the provided parameters for ADSL/VDSL service, including required parameters for Option
pack and Family Filter.

1- System supports to integrate with OMS to create orders /query /and get final status update.

1.3.15 FC.FLChgAddr.015 Subscriber Reactivation

Business Rules
If the customer request to terminate the old number first then system should resume billing for
the subscriber after OMS order New Installation order is completed. As system supports
multiple resumes, System will trigger an operator request resume with reason “Change
Number” regardless the subscriber was originally active or suspended by customer request.
Business Handling
- If the Terminate flag is set to “First” then System will send an operator request resume to
remove operator suspension in CBS to resume charging the subscriber.
- Assuming System is working in online charging mode, then service will not be ready for use if
subscriber is still suspended in CBS. Removing operator suspension does not enable the
service if there is still customer request suspension exists, even enabling the port in Matrix
during new line installation order fulfillment does not enable the service if CBS is still suspended
.
- No need to re-provision the service after resume as subscriber profile is not deleted during
OMS order fulfillment, it is just suspended. Then re-provisioned again by OMS during new
installation order fulfillment in OMS.
1.3.16 FC.FLChgAddr.016 Synchronize Billing Information

Business Handling
After CRM synchronizes the subscriber phone number info to CBS, CBS will update the
subscriber info internally.
1.3.17 FC.FLChgAddr.017 Customer Notification

Business Rules
Notification templates should be pre-configured.
Business Handling
After the business order is processed, CRM will send the notification message to end user to
inform the user the business is completed.
Configuration
OOTB support to configure notification template which should be provided in real delivery
project.
