8(9-10-11-13-14) Hanks BERROCO BOBOLI QUICK (100 grs), #7354 Ginger Scone (MC)
2 Hanks BERROCO BOBOLI (100 grs), #5351 Watercress (CC)
Straight knitting needles, sizes 11 (8.00 mm) and 15 (10.00 mm) OR SIZE TO OBTAIN GAUGE
Five 1¼" buttons from One World Button Supply Co.
GAUGE
10 sts = 4"; 14 rows = 4" in St st with MC on larger needles
14 sts = 4"; 18 rows = 4" in St st with CC on smaller needles
TO SAVE TIME, TAKE TIME TO CHECK GAUGE
BACK
With Smaller needles, using CC, cast on .84(94-104-114-124-134) sts. Work even in St st for 5", end on
WS. Change to larger needles and MC.
Next Row (RS): * K2 tog, rep from * across - 42(47-52-57-62-67) sts. Beg with a p row, work even in St
st until piece measures 7(7-7½-7½-8-8)" from beg, end on WS.
Dec Row (RS): K1, SSK, k to last 3 sts, k2 tog, k1 - 40(45-50-55-60-65) sts. Rep this dec every 4" once
more - 38(43-48-53-58-63) sts. Work even until piece measures 13(13-13½-13½-14-14)" from beg, end on
WS.
Inc Row (RS): K1, M1k, k to last st, M1k, k1 - 40(45-50-55-60-65) sts. Rep this inc every 3" once more -
42(47-52-57-62-67) sts. Work even until piece measures 17(17-17½-17½-18-18)" from beg, end on WS.
Shape Armholes: Bind off 2(3-3-4-4-5) sts at beg of the next 2 rows, then 2 sts at beg of the following 2
rows - 34(37-42-45-50-53) sts. Dec 1 st each side every RS row 1(1-3-3-4-4) times - 32(35-36-39-42-45)
sts. Work even until armholes measure 7½(8-8½-8½-9-9½)", end on WS.
Shape Shoulders: Bind off 4(5-5-6-7-8) sts at beg of the next 2 rows, then 4(5-5-6-6-7) sts at beg of the
following 2 rows. Bind off remaining 16(15-16-15-16-15) sts for back neck.
LEFT FRONT
With smaller needle, using CC, cast on 43(47-53-57-63-67) sts.
Row 1 (RS): K to last 3 sts, p1, k2.
Row 2: Sl 2 WYIF, k1, p to end. Rep these 2 rows until piece measures 5" from beg, end on WS. Change to
larger needles.
Next Row (RS): * K2 tog, rep from * to last 3 sts, end p1, k2 - 23(25-28-30-33-35) sts. Beg with Row 2,
work even in pat as established until piece measures 7(7-7½-7½-8-8)" from beg, end on WS.
Dec Row (RS): K1, SSK, k to last 3 sts, end p1, k2 - 22(24-27-29-32-34) sts. Rep this dec every 4" once
more - 21(23-26-28-31-33) sts, Work even until piece measures 13(13-13½-13½-14-14)" from beg, end on
WS.
Inc Row (RS): K1, M1k, k to last 3 sts, end p1, k2 - 22(24-27-29-32-34) sts. Rep this inc every 3" once
more - 23(25-28-30-33-35) sts. Work even until piece measures 17(17-17½-17½-18-18)" from beg, end on
WS.
Shape Armhole: Bind off 2(3-3-4-4-5) sts at beg of the next RS row, then 2 sts at beg of the following RS
row, end on WS - 19(20-23-24-27-28) sts. Dec 1 st at armhole edge on next row, then every RS row 0(0-2-
2-3-3) times more - 18(19-20-21-23-24) sts. Work even until armhole measures 6(6½-7-7-7½-8)", end on
RS.
Shape Neck: Next Row (WS): Bind off 5(4-5-4-5-4) sts, p to end - 13(15-15-17-18-20) sts.
Dec Row 1 (RS): K to last 4 sts, k2 tog, k2 - 12(14-14-16-17-19) sts.
Dec Row 2 (WS): P2, p2 tog, p to end - 11(13-13-15-16-18) sts. Rep the last 2 rows once more, then rep
Dec Row 1 once more - 8(10-10-12-13-15) sts. When armhole measures 7½(8-8½-8½-9-9½)", end on
WS. Bind off 4(5-5-6-7-8) sts at armhole edge once, then 4(5-5-6-6-7) sts once for shoulder. Mark
placement of 5 buttons along front edge, the first ½" above end of CC section at bottom, the last 1" below
beg of neck shaping and the others evenly spaced between.
RIGHT FRONT
With smaller needles, using CC, cast on 43(47-53-57-63-67) sts.
Row 1 (RS): Sl 2 WYIB, p1, k to end.
Row 2: P to last 3 sts, k1, p2. Rep these 2 rows until piece measures 5" from beg, end on WS.

Next Row (RS): Sl 2 WYIB, p1, * k2tog, rep from * across - 23(25-28-30-33-35) sts. Work 1 row even,
end on WS.
Buttonhole Row (RS): Sl 2 WYIB, p1, k1, yo, k2 tog, k to end. Complete to correspond to left front,
reversing all shaping and making 4 more buttonholes opposite markers on left front edge. Work side decs at
end of RS rows as k2 tog, k1. Work side incs at end of RS rows as M1k, k1. Bind of for armhole on WS
rows. Work armhole decs at end of RS rows. Bind off for neck on RS row. Work neck decs at beg of RS rows
as k2, SSK. Work neck decs at end of RS rows as p2tog, p2. Bind off for shoulder on WS rows.
SLEEVES
With larger needles, using MC, cast on 25 sts. Work even in St st for 2" end on WS.
Inc Row (RS): K1, M1k, k to last st, M1k, k1 - 27 sts. Rep this inc every 7½(3¾-3-2½-2-1½)" - 31(35-
37-39-41-43) sts. Work even until sleeve measures 18" from beg, end on WS.
Shape Cap: Bind off 2(3-3-4-4-5) sts at beg of the next 2 rows, then 2 sts at beg of the following 2 rows -
23(25-27-27-29-29) sts. Dec 1 st each side every 4th row 0(0-0-0-1-1) time, then every RS row 9(9-10-
10-9-9) times, end on WS. Bind off remaining 5(7-7-7-9-9) sts.
FINISHING
Sew shoulder seams. Sew in sleeves. Sew side and sleeve seams. Sew on buttons.
