Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,

And sorry I could not travel to both

And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,

And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and I wanted to wear it;
Though as for that the passing there had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay

In leav,s no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I was curious if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh

Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

-Robert Frost
meaning

I think that the meaning of this poem is about the decisions we make in life
how we reflect on them and how it shapes our journey

Symbols

I think that the road represents life choices and he is kinda sad that he can not
travel both and figure out what lies ahead for both. the undergrowth means
that he can only predict how far ahead he can see on the decision and path
that he wants to take just like an actual decision how you never really know
how things will go and i think it also means how he doesnt know what could
happen and that all of it is a risk then he looked at the other road that had
“green grass that he wanted to wear” basically saying that he likes the path
the seems like it doesnt have that many troubles and that is had “the better
claim” in other words saying that it looked more appalling and that there
would be less troubles then in the morning he doesnt regret his decision that
he made fore no step had trodded black saying that he hasent had one misstep
not one bad thing happen to him but how he still wonders how his life would
have turned out if he took the other route being curious if he would have
regretted or if he would go back to take the other path the sigh shows that he
did not take the path that was better so to say the because ages and ages later
he realizes that he does not really like the decesion he made he took the one
less traveled by saying that even though he embraced being different it was
not the right decision and through all of this and everything he learned it
made all the difference simply because he can not go back

I also think that
