Proposed Construction of New Building for Collectorate and Other Offices at

Veeracholapuram village in Kallakurichi District


Checklist - EC for building construction projects

i. The project is located at 11°44'13.16"N to 11°44'32.17"N latitude and 79° 2'25.07"E


to 79° 2'39.81"E longitude.
ii. The project is new.
iii. Earlier Clearance details, Construction status– The project is new construction of
Collectorate and Other offices is not started.
iv. The total plot area is 53,500 Sq. m, FSI area is 0.5 and total construction area of
29,822.71 Sq. m. The project will comprise of a Collectorate Office and other offices
(Ground + 7 floors). Maximum height of the building is 33.30m.
v. During construction phase, total water requirement is expected to be 40 KLD which
will be met by Private Water Suppliers. During the construction phase, the
wastewater generated will be treated in the septic tanks with dispersion trenches.
Temporary sanitary toilets will be provided during peak labour force.
vi. During operational phase, total water requirement is about 49 KLD. Out of it, about
27 KLD is fresh water and 22 KLD is of treated sewage. The fresh water will be
sourced from TWAD Board.
vii. During operational phase, total wastewater generation of the project is about 45 KLD.
About will be treated in proposed STP having capacity of 50 KLD. The treated sewage
will be reused for toilet flushing (22 KLD), greenbelt development (11 KLD), Internal
roadside plantation (5 KLD), external roadside plantation (5 KLD).
viii. About 213 kg/day solid wastes will be generated in the project. The biodegradable
waste (85 kg/day) will be processed in OWC and the non-biodegradable waste
generated (128 kg/day) will be handed over to recyclers. About 15 kg/day of STP
sludge will be utilised as manure after composting.
ix. The total power requirement during operation phase is 250 KVA and will be met
from Tamil Nadu Generation & Distribution Corporation Ltd.
x. Parking facility of 7835 Sq.m is provided for 324 cars and 1152 two wheelers.
xi. No Reserve Forest is located within 10 Km radius.
xii. NBWL Clearance and Forest clearance is not required.
xiii. No Court Case is pending against the project.
xiv. Cost of project is Rs. 104.44 Crores.
