SOP in Details Imam Hossain Imon
I am Imam Hossain Imon, a Bangladeshi citizen born on April 19, 2003. My family consists of
my parents and my elder sister. My father, MD Harun, is a businessman and landlord, while my
mother, Parul Akter, is a homemaker. My elder sister, Anowara Akter Mousumi, has already been
married and lives at her in-law's house.
I passed my Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) exam on February 13, 2022, though my
examination year was 2021. Because of Covid-19, there was a one-year academic backlog in our
country. After my HSC result, I started entrance exam preparation. I attempted several university
examinations from June to December 2022 but could not place myself at the top of the list. Thus,
my parents decided to send me abroad for higher study. I started the IELTS exam preparation,
and on March 02, 2023, I took the exam. IDP published my result on April 4, 2023, where I
received a band score of 6.00 this time.
Besides my IELTS preparation, I enrolled at Trendup IT for a "Web Design and WordPress
Theme Customization" course on February 4, 2023. I became certified in that course on July 25,
2023.
Why Australia?
I definitely had a couple of country options for my bachelor studies, such as the USA, Canada,
Australia, and some European countries like Denmark, Finland, and other Nordic countries.
All these options immensely attract international students, though my first and foremost choice
was Australia because of its quality education, affordable tuition fees, weather, and welcoming
culture.
Firstly, there is no question about the Aussie education system worldwide. Australian Education
Ministry supervises the overall structure with different tools to ensure equal academic facilities.
The Australian Government provides public funding to the higher education sector to ensure the
standard through the Higher Education Support Act 2003.

Secondly, most universities in Australia provide around 20% to 40% scholarships to international
students. For instance, the average yearly tuition fee for a bachelor's course is around A$20,000
to A$45,000. Getting a scholarship on that amount makes it more affordable than in other
countries.

fees-in-australia]
Thirdly, the Australian climate is more comfortable than European countries and even better than
Canada's freezing temperatures. Australia's national mean temperature was 0.50 °C warmer than
the 1961–1990 average, making 2022 the equal 22nd-warmest year.

can easily adjust myself there.
My Course:
I received my COE from Southern Cross University (Melbourne) for the Bachelor of Information
Technology course in the October 2023 intake. According to COE, the prospective starting date
is October 23, 2023, and the end date is October 16, 2026. The overall tuition fee is AUD 96,480
for a three-year course duration. However, I have been awarded an AUD 8000 merit-based
scholarship for the first year of enrollment.
IT Future in Bangladesh:
With approximately 4,500 enterprises and 300,000 workers, ICT is one of Bangladesh's fastest-
growing industries. The industry is a major contributor to the nation's gross domestic product.
Bangladesh completed its "Digital Bangladesh" aim in 2021 by digitizing all government
departments. The Government promotes the industry's growth with tax exemptions and ICT
infrastructure development. Software and services exports are in high demand; thus, the
employment outlook for IT graduates in Bangladesh is positive. In addition, Bangladesh has
launched tremendous growth in the ICT sector. For instance, various High-Tech Park
development projects are now underway.

In order to address complicated challenges and overcome constraints that have impeded the
development of this industry in Bangladesh, the IT department has a significant demand for
qualified personnel. From now on, I am keeping an eye on places where I might have excellent
career chances.
My Prospective Career:
I decided to return home after discovering numerous intriguing professional opportunities in
Bangladesh. After receiving my graduate certification from Southern Cross University, I shall
seek a job with any Bangladeshi or international IT organization. Numerous firms, including
Grameenphone IT Ltd., Brain Station 23 Ltd., SouthTech Limited, SSL Wireless,
TechnoVista Limited, Tiger IT Bangladesh LTD, Data-soft System BD IT, Magneto Digital
Limited, Bangla Trac Solution, and many others, provide various attractive work opportunities
for the designation of Software Engineer, Web Developer, Full-Stack Developer, Software Quality
Assurance (AQ), DevOps Engineer, UI/UX Designer, Cloud Engineer, IT Project Manager,
Database Administrator (DBA), etc.
According to the present market value, I can easily start my career in Bangladesh with a monthly
remuneration of BDT 80,000 -95,000 in any multinational or native established company.

After three years, when I will return, that salary range will be higher according to the inflation
rate and time value of money.
In addition, I can work remotely for numerous worldwide companies, including Microsoft, Intuit,
SAP, Keller Williams Realty, VMware, Splunk, Dell Technologies, and Red Hat.

As I want to stay with my family, I plan my career establishment according to the viability of the
Bangladeshi market.
My Sponsor's Profile:
My father, MD Harun, a businessman, will serve as my sponsor to cover all my expenses during
my stay in Australia. He is a famous landlord in our locality. He saved BDT 3,820,000 [AUD
52,566] for my study abroad in his two bank accounts. As a landlord, his yearly rental income
from a Six-storied Building and Semi Building is BDT 3,600,000 [AUD 49,539].
Moreover, my father's immovable [fixed] assets current value is about BDT 95,000,000 [AUD
1,307,279]. Therefore, it is a logical claim that my father is capable enough to support me to pay
my overall tuition fees and three years of living expenses in Australia.
Country Ties:
In Bangladesh, I live with my parents and have a married elder sister. In our culture, women
reside with their husbands' families after marriage, and so does my sister. In their old age, my
parents have no one to depend on but me. Furthermore, my father owns numerous properties,
currently valued at around AUD 1,307,279, and oversees them; however, it is getting
increasingly difficult for him to manage them independently. Therefore, I need to return home to
give him my hand and start my profession in Bangladesh. I even want to form my own family by
marrying locally and living with my parents.
Last but not least, I always feel a deep emotion towards my country. Every year, we lose billions
of dollars to paying overseas employees who work in our country, especially in the IT sector.
This dollar outflow has a direct impact on our GDP. After completing my studies at SCU, I want
to return home to attain a position already occupied by foreign workers to save our foreign
currencies and strengthen our GDP rate.
Declaration:
I am aware of the terms and conditions applicable to my stay in Australia. My visa will be a
student visa under subclass 500. I greatly anticipate joining your academic community as a
privileged member. I would work diligently and contribute significantly to my field if given a
chance. In conclusion, I am eager to embark on a new journey of exploration, difficulties, and
guided accomplishment in the service of humanity.
Sincerely,
Imam Hossain Imon
