WABTEC FANUC POSITONER WORK INSTRUCTIONS

Hooking up Teach Pendant with Controller powered down:

With Controller OFF:

- Turn Pendant disconnect Key Switch to OFF Position (See Jpg. 0)

- Plug in Teach Pendant Cable (Connector is keyed and will only insert with correct clocking)
- Turn Pendant disconnect Key Switch to ON (See Jpg. 1)
- Turn Main Power Disconnect on

With Controller ON:

- Turn Pendant disconnect Key Switch to OFF Position (See Jpg. 0)

- Unplug Pendant Jumper
- Plug in Teach Pendant Cable (Connector is keyed and will only insert with correct clocking)
- Turn Pendant disconnect Key Switch to ON (See Jpg. 1)

Pendant Reset after Power Down/Power up:

With Pendant Connected

- Turn Power Switch to on

- Make sure Pendant Disconnect Key is in ON position (See Jpg. 1)
- Wait for screen on Pendant to finalize
- Push both arrow hard keys (Left & Right) at the same time and keep depressed for 2-3 seconds,
then release. (See Jpg. 2)
- Pull in enable switch on back of pendant in for 6-7 seconds, then release (See Jpg. 3)
- At this point, all that should be Flashing Red is “EMG” (Which should disappear once the enable
is pulled in a second time)/ (See Jpg. 4)
- If any alarms (“ALM”) still exist, press “Reset”

Jogging (After Pendant Reset:

Pendant must be connected and reset

- Pull in Enable
- Wait for “EMG” (in Red) to disappear
- Wait for “Reset” to disappear
- Press if not already on “M-OPE/MDI” until the LED luminates
- Press “JOG”
- Press “-J1” or “+J1” to jog the Arm or J2 to jog the platter

NOTE: Remember, if you do not wait for “Reset” to disappear, the M-OPE LED is not lit and or you do
not see “JOG” referenced on the screen, nothing will happen and you will not receive an error of any
kind letting you know what you are doing wrong.
