To define the sensitivity of the detector, it is necessary to determine that for a known concentration and condition,
a peak can be unambiguously distingushed from noise when eluted from the column.
In the signal to noise test, the peak height is divided by peak to peak noise and the test passes if the signal to
noise > 6000.
Results are rounded to the same precision as displayed by the acceptance criterion prior to comparing against the
specification.
