BUS 103: Assignment 2 Team Reflection

Please provide thoughtful, reflective answers to the following:

1) What did you do individually to contribute to the success of your team?

To contribute to the success of the team, I helped in writing and revising several sections of the team charter. I
also assisted in researching two sections: “Definition and history of the field” and “Career options for
professionals (3-4).” After this, I edited Min’s writing by proofreading and providing suggestions for corrections.
Another task for which I was responsible was presenting the “Definition and history of the field” section of the
PowerPoint presentation.

2) What one contribution (yours or someone else’s) helped your team the most?

In my opinion, the most helpful contribution to the team was made by Min. She tirelessly kept our team
organized by regular reminders of upcoming deadlines as well as ensuring that team members completed their
assigned tasks.

3) How did this team experience compare to your prior team experiences?

I was pleasantly surprised by how each team member in our group took responsibility for their assigned tasks
and worked to the best of their abilities to achieve our objectives.

4) What approaches and methods worked well? Will you use them in the future?

Setting clear deadlines and expectations of the tasks for which each person will be responsible greatly helped
in coordinating with members and ensuring each person contributed to the project. I had never previously had
the experience of writing a team charter, but this simple approach completely removed the confusion and
uncertainty that often results from members not equally contributing. I will certainly utilize this approach in the
future.

5) What will you do differently in future team experiences?

During the time our team was working on the project, I found myself especially busy with other assignments
and commitments. For future team experiences, I hope to improve my time management abilities to help
lighten my load closer to deadlines.
