Report text is one of the English materials studied. In
Indonesian, report text is defined as a report text that aims
to explain in detail a thing or object
 STRUCTURE
GENERAL CLASSIFICATION
General classification is a report text
structure that contains general
information based on the author's
observations
DESCRIPTION
Description is a part of the report text
structure that contains a description of
the object being discussed in more
detail
 OBJECTIVE
The communicative purpose of report text is
to convey information about something as it
is as a result of systematic observation or
analysis
 MATERIAL LINGUISTIC RULES
Using the Simple Present Tense, characterized by the
use of to be: is/am/are. Apart from that, we also use
Verb 1. Using Action Verbs, for example: Travel, Defend,
Live, and so on
CHARACTERISTIC FEATURES
Contains scientific facts.
Report text explains various groups and not specific
individuals.
The title of the report text looks general so that it is
easily recognized by readers.
Generally, report text is accompanied by images and
statistical data that supports the author's
observations
EXAMPLE
 CONCLUSION
It can be concluded that report text is a type of text
that provides a detailed description of an object
based on scientific facts obtained through systematic
observation and research.
