Learning Outcome/s The students shall be able to:


1.4 Draw the standard lettering size used in drawing templates
Task The students shall draw a drawing template as per specification given.

 Oslo Paper/ A4 size drafting paper
 Ruler (measurement scale cm/mm)
 T-square
 Protractor and triangle measuring tool (measurement scale cm/mm)
 HB Engineering Drawing Pencil
 Masking tape
 1/8 Card board/illustration board

The instructor will explain the template to the student then they will be task to create the

1. Strictly follow house rules before and after the activity
2. Prepare the necessary tools and materials needed in the repair of problem.
3. Perform the practical activity in a safe manner, following procedures and correct

1. Behavior i.e., student does not horse around or play with the equipment.
2. Strictly follow house rules do the necessary preparation.

PROCEDURAL
Enabling steps
1. Prepare the drawing tool that shall be provided by the student.
2. Place the card board/ illustration board below the Oslo paper
Performance Standard: SPAR 3. Make sure that the Oslo paper Drafting Paper and T-square are aligned on edge
4. Place masking tapes each corner of the paper
5. Get the HB pencil and ruler to measure the desire measurement then draw a soft line
mark based on the sample of drawing template measurement.
6. Draw your template based on the given sample and measurement.

7. Get the triangle attached on the edge blade, this are the proper way how to use T
square with triangle

8. Create a vertical line by moving the T-square and triangle ruler vertically.

9. Measure again the border template measurement then draws a mark


10. Create horizontal line using T-square

11. Follow the same steps in creating vertical and horizontal line.

12. If you are done to draw your template start to draw free hand the letter from A-Z and
numbers (refer to the given samples and follow the given measurements.

The student shall be able to create the template as per specification to be considered
“COMPETENT”.
Grading
Failure to meet the stated criterion means the student shall be considered “Not Yet
Competent”.

a. The instructor shall ensure that the following information are conveyed to the students
during briefing/debriefing:
1. House rules.
2. Demonstrate the proper use of drawing tools.
3. Demonstrate how to properly draw the drawing template.

5. Different scenarios related to the course.
6. Attend to questions inherent to the familiarization of the system.
7. Debrief the student after the activity focus on the following, what did the student
learned, what mistakes were made if any, and how to improve performance.

c. During student performance, intervene as necessary to ensure safety and acquisition of
proficiency.
