A baby's body has about 300 bones at birth.

These eventually fuse (grow together) to form the 206

bones that adults have. Some of a baby's bones are made entirely of a special material called
cartilage

 the skull to see that it is made up of 22 bones

 The femur is your thigh bone. It's the longest, strongest bone in your body. It's a critical part
of your ability to stand and move
 The knee joins the thigh bone (femur) to the shin bone (tibia). The smaller bone that runs
alongside the tibia (fibula) and the kneecap (patella) are the other bones that make the
knee joint. Tendons connect the knee bones to the leg muscles that move the knee joint
 Spine -The bones, muscles, tendons, and other tissues that reach from the base of the skull
to the tailbone. The spine encloses the spinal cord and the fluid surrounding the spinal cord.
Also called backbone, spinal column, and vertebral column.
 The rib cage consists of 24 ribs (2 sets of 12), which are attached to a long, flat bone in the
centre of the chest called the sternum
 Your arm is made up of three bones: the upper arm bone (humerus) and two forearm
bones (the ulna and the radius). The term "broken arm" may refer to a fracture in any of
these bones.
