Demonstrative pronouns are pronouns used to point or identify something.
Demonstrative pronouns are this, that, these and those.
This is used to point or identify a single thing that the speaker holds or near to him.
Example:

This is a flower.

That is used to point or identify a single thing that is far from the speaker.
Example:

That is my book.

These is used to point or identify things that the speaker holds or near to him.
Example:

These are butterflies.

Those is used to point or identify things that is far from the speaker.
Example:

Those are frogs.
