To Whom It May Concern:

I am pleased to write this letter on behalf of Abigail Her. I first met Abigail during AP European
History in the 2021-22 school year, a year in which she also served as El Capitan’s Leo Club
Secretary and has continued to hone her leadership skills as she serves as our Vice-President in
her graduating year.

Abigail is an outgoing, fun-loving, young woman. She is extremely creative and works hard at
the things that are important to her, whether that be: academics, volunteer service, clubs and
personal relationships. She is comfortable with most adults as well as her own peer group, both
male and female. Abigail is a strong leader through and through as she demonstrates a
collaborative nature, listening to others’ voices; offering compromise and concession in equal
parts when necessary. She is always a team player and not only will she help others when it is
needed, but she is also the first to engage in any activity when others stand back—even at the
risk of seeming foolish. She is attentive and engaged, always asking questions or offering
suggestions. Abigail accepts constructive criticism and does whatever it takes to adjust and
improve her work.

Abigail is active in her school and is not afraid of putting herself out there. She is a leader and
active member for our Leo Club: spending countless hours refining her leadership skills and
volunteering service. Because of her confidence and risk taking, she has also performed in front
of large audiences at different band reviews, club competitions and various ECHS sporting
events with ECHS Color Guard as part and I am proud of her continued fearless initiative.

On a personal level, I have seen Abigail as a unique, caring, friendly person who has the gift of
making others comfortable. I feel honored to have had the opportunity to not only have Abigail
as my Leo Club secretary but now as vice-president but also to be able to know her on a more
personal level. She has an easy sense of humor and a genuine kindness that always brings a smile
to my face.

I would recommend Abigail for any position for which she may be applying.

Sincerely,

Mario A. Arroyo
