Precise Report of the work done during the above period:

This report summarizes my Ph.D. research progress from November 2018 to July 2019. This time
period corresponds to part of the first term of my Ph.D. candidacy. The goal of my Ph.D.
research is to design, implement and analyze the adaptive streaming services, studying different
options and technologies that allow adjusting the quality of the content transmitted to the
available bandwidth.
2|Page
My research methodology is the abstraction and design paradigm. While some aspects of the
design paradigm were adopted in this research, the emphasis is placed on abstraction
(modelling). This experimental scientific method consists of hypothesis establishment, model
construction, and experiment design and data collection, followed by results analysis.

Currently, I have collected base research papers and I have completed my structural audit of the
strategies as of now used to quantify QoE and QoS for video benefit utilizing procedures of
streaming video through a web access supplier, the fundamental contrasts are articulated among
target and abstract measurements, utilizing situations and drawbacks displayed in a remote
domain. What's more, the radio access innovation – RAN Long Term Evolution – LTE as the
radio access innovation and remote innovation well on the way to be utilized in the coming years
is introduced, improvement devices for dealing with stages imitating frameworks LTE are
analyzed. Also, the article depicts the difficulties and research holes in assessing and estimating
the nature of experience for video administrations upheld by remote advancements.

Future plan

The successive work will focus on the process of designing, implementing and evaluating
algorithms for adaptive video systems. To perform these tasks, a series of laboratory experiments
have to be carried out. The biggest problem we have to address, in an efficient way, the high
number of tests that need to be done, since the time and resources to perform this type of testing
is usually relatively high: we have to configure the equipment and applications correctly.

It is necessary to design the experiments that we want to carry out, configure the scenarios in
which each of the experiments will be carried out and collect all the necessary data to analyze
later.

Therefore, it will be interesting to use some method or process that facilitates these tasks and
allows to define the test environments, the steps to follow when performing these experiments
and the analysis of the results, thus managing to automate the processes in a simple way.
