ROUTEMAP

DAY-1 (Arrival)
• 24th Feb 2024: Take a flight from Delhi or Chandigarh
to Leh Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport.
• Check into your hotel and rest for the afternoon to
allow your body to adjust to the high altitude (Leh is at
3,500 meters above sea level).
• In the evening, visit the Shanti Stupa, a white-domed
Buddhist monument overlooking Leh, for stunning
views of the city and the surrounding mountains.
Day 2: Sham Valley Tour

• In the morning, take a day trip to the Sham


Valley, located about 40 km from Leh.
• Visit the Alchi Monastery, one of the oldest gompas in
Ladakh, dating back to the 11th century.
• See the Likir Monastery, another ancient gompa with
beautiful murals and statues.
• Enjoy the scenic drive through the valley, with its lush
greenery and traditional villages.

Day 3: Leh - Khardung La Pass - Nubra Valley

• Today, you'll tackle the world's highest motorable road, the


Khardung La Pass, at 5,359 meters above sea level.
• Make sure to stop at the pass for photos and to take in the
breathtaking views of the Himalayas.
• Continue on to Nubra Valley, a high-altitude desert valley
known for its sand dunes and Bactrian camels.
• Spend the night in the village of Hunder.

Day 4: Nubra Valley – Turtuk


• In the morning, take a jeep safari to the remote village of
Turtuk, which was part of Pakistan until 1971.
• Explore the village and interact with the locals, who have a
unique culture and language.
• Visit the Turtuk Gompa, an ancient Buddhist monastery.
• In the afternoon, return to Hunder.

Day 5: Nubra Valley - Pangong Tso Lake


• Today, you'll travel to Pangong Tso Lake, one of the highest
altitude lakes in the world.
• The lake is known for its ever-changing colors, from deep
blue to turquoise to green.
• Enjoy the stunning scenery and the peacefulness of the lake.
• Spend the night in a camp near the lake.

Day 6: Pangong Tso Lake – Leh

• In the morning, enjoy a sunrise over the lake before making


your way back to Leh.
• On the way, you can stop at the Chang La Pass, the third
highest motorable road in the world.
• Spend the evening relaxing in Leh and enjoying some local
cuisine.

Day 7: Depart Leh

• Fly out of Leh Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport, taking with you memories of
your incredible adventure in Ladakh.
INCLUSIONS
• The best time to visit Ladakh is between June and September, when the weather
is pleasant and the roads are open.
• Make sure to book your flights and accommodations well in advance, as Ladakh
is a popular tourist destination.
• Be sure to pack warm clothes, as the nights can be chilly even in the summer.
• It is also important to pack sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat, as the sun is very
strong at high altitudes.
• Drink plenty of fluids to stay hydrated, as the air is dry at high altitudes.
• Take it slow and allow your body to adjust to the altitude. Avoid strenuous activity
for the first few days.
• Respect the local culture and traditions.

• Any Airfare / Rail fare other than what is mentioned in "Inclusions" or


any type of transportation.
