SUNDAY MESSAGE

When the gospel

becomes central.
A SERMON FROM 1 CORINTHIANS 15:1-11
WHEN THE GOSPEL BECOMES CENTRAL

Committing it to memory
becomes natural.
A SERMON FROM 1 CORINTHIANS 15:1-11
It is so hard to live a new life in Christ in a society who holds
immorality, idolatry – sin as a norm. It seemed like that the
normal Corinthian way of life is in direct opposition with the
Church new life that Paul taught in for a year and a half.

REFLECTIONS FROM 1 COR 15:1-11

WHEN THE GOSPEL BECOMES CENTRAL

Sharing is intentional.

A SERMON FROM 1 CORINTHIANS 15:1-11

God’s initiative - hence the invitation.
And what is our response to this Good
News?

REFLECTIONS FROM 1 COR 15:1-11

There is a reason why Jesus’ first
preaching was about repentance and
faith.
WHEN THE GOSPEL BECOMES CENTRAL

There is self-denial.

A SERMON FROM 1 CORINTHIANS 15:1-11

Matt 16:24-25 24
Then Jesus said to his disciples, “Whoever wants to be my
disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow
me. 25 For whoever wants to save their life[f] will lose it, but
whoever loses their life for me will find it.

SCRIPTURE READING
1 Corinthians 15:9

For I am the least of all the apostles. In fact, I’m not even worthy
to be called an apostle after the way I persecuted God’s church .

SCRIPTURE READING
Paul was reminded of his ‘Saul-era’ days – a.k.a. Christian-
killing era. This dark point in his life wasn’t a secret, But on his
way to Damascus, He encountered the risen, glorified Jesus. It
became the hallmark of how God can redeem the harshest, the
hardened sinner.

REFLECTION ON APOSTLE PAUL’S FAITH JOURNEY

WHEN THE GOSPEL BECOMES CENTRAL

The ministry of God’s grace

is instrumental.
A SERMON FROM 1 CORINTHIANS 15:1-11
10 But by the grace of God I am what I am, and His grace
toward me did not prove vain; but I labored even more than all of
them, yet not I, but the grace of God with me. 11Whether then it
was I or they, so we preach and so you believed.
