Third-Party Beneficiaries: You are hereby notified that persons and entities that have software
included on the product are third-party beneficiaries to this agreement as it applies to their
respective software products included with this product.
Prevailing Agreement: In the event of any conflict between the terms and conditions of this
agreement, and the terms and conditions of any license agreements appearing with or in the
software products comprising the software, this agreement shall prevail.
Export: You agree that you will not export or re-export the software without the appropriate United
States or foreign government licenses.
U.S. Government Restricted Rights: If the products are acquired under the terms of a
proposal or agreement with the U.S. Government or any contractor thereof, the products are subject
to the following: (a) For acquisition by or on behalf of civilian agencies, as necessary to obtain
protection as “commercial computer software” and related documentation in accordance with the
terms of this commercial software agreement as specified in 48 C.F.R. 12.212 of the Federal
Acquisition Regulations and its successors; (b) For acquisition by or behalf of units of the
Department of Defense (DOD) as necessary to obtain protection as “commercial computer
software” and related documentation in accordance with the terms of this commercial computer
software license as specified in 48 C.F.R. 227-7202 of the DOD F.A.R. Supplement and its
successors.
Installing
To install the MCP, the MCP disk must be in the CD-ROM drive on your system. Exit any other
currently active programs. Select Start, then Run. Type the drive letter (e.g., E:) where the MCP
disc is located, followed by \setup.exe. Follow the instructions on the screen.
Starting
• Make sure you have successfully installed the program. See the previous section
for installation instructions.
• Place the MCP CD in your CD-ROM drive.
• Select Start, then Programs, and ACI. Double click on MCP 2009 to start the MCP.
The MCP program will appear and the Main Menu will appear.
Links
You will notice as you move through the documents that some of the text appears in RED on your
screen. These red highlighted words are called LINKS—clicking on one of these links with your
mouse will advance the text to whatever item or section of the document the link refers.
Adobe Reader 8 preferences can be customized in the Tools, Customize Tool bar pull-down menu
option to allow the user access to different navigational tools and buttons. It is advised for the user to
refer to the Acrobat Reader 8 Help menu to learn the various methods of customizing your Acrobat
Reader work area.
Printing documents
To print all or part of a document from the menu bar, select File, Print From the print dialog box,
you can select all pages, the current page, or a specified range of pages to print.
Remember that all documents contained in the MCP CD are copyrighted material of the
American Concrete Institute. The documents may not be printed other than for personal use
without the express consent of the American Concrete Institute. Contact ACI for information on
right-to-reprint if you have any questions.
