1. In many countries, presumption of innocence is a legal right of the accused in a

criminal trial, and it is an international human right under the UN's Universal
Declaration of Human Rights, Article 11.
2. The Corruption Eradication Commission, or KPK, said they will appeal a decision by the
Jakarta Corruption Court which handed down a heavier sentence than sought by
prosecutors to a bribery suspect who had been helping the KPK in its investigation and
was granted a "justice collaborator" status.
