PHYSICAL
FITNESS
Being fit does not only mean physically fit. It is more than that. It involves physical, emotional, mental, and social
fitness. A person who is fit in every way has total fitness. He is well- equipped to live each day to the fullest with
eagerness and enthusiasm. He meets his daily responsibilities without getting too exhausted.

You can achieve total fitness but you have to work on this. The activities that will be discussed in this
unit will help you gain total fitness.

OBJECTIVES:
At the end of the chapter the student are able to:

1. Appreciate the importance of having one’s fitness goals.


2. Applying and reaching a good and healthy lifestyle.

3. Demonstrate understanding of the components of physical fitness and its importance in one’s health.
Wellness
Wellness is the act of consistently
practicing healthy habits to achieve better
physical and mental health results, so you
prosper while living, rather than just living.
Muscular/Muscle Strength

The ability of a muscle to exert maximum force
