QUARTER 4, WEEK 5
Notes:

C. Lesson Proper

Making judgement and taking a stand on an issue can be made in two ways- to agree or
disagree. In some point of your interaction with others you either agree or disagree with their stand.
You agree when you believe that the data presented proves to be true and you disagree when it
contradicts the truth and what you believe in. This part of the lesson provides you expressions on
agreeing and disagreeing.
Remember that when you disagree, do it in an agreeable manner. Consider these words used to
express agreement and disagreement on the issue;

AGREE DISAGREE
That’s true. I don’t think so.
You’re absolutely right. No way. (strong)
Exactly! I’m afraid I disagree.
No doubt about it. I totally disagree. (strong)
I couldn’t agree with you more. I beg to disagree.
You have a point. I’d say the exact opposite. (strong)
Me neither (agree with negative statement) Not necessarily.
I suppose so/ I guess so (weak) That’s not always true.
I agree with you 100 percent. That’s not always the case.
