1 Connection
 Position: no. 1, 2 or 3

 Properties
 Modem compatible with the following GSM networks: 900 MHz, 1800 MHz DCS
and GPRS.
 3 communication modes:
 DATA: SCADA Central station, Inter-RTU, SOFTOOLS…
 SMS: Alarm reporting and SMS server.
 GPRS : SCADA Central Station, Inter-RTU with S500, SOFTOOLS,
Alarm reporting to an email recipient
 From S500 V 4.10, VOICE function is no longer available.

 Red indicator light:


 permanently on: modem under power, but not registered on network,
 slow flashing: modem powered and registered,
 rapid flashing: modem powered, registered and communication in progress.

The SOFREL angle bracket, available from


the catalog, can be used to mount the aerial
vertically onto a metallic earthing surface.
Aerial cable length = 4 m

 This earth plane is required only for "1/4 wave" aerials.

On the back of the GSM board, open the black the support
support and slide your SIM card into the lid
(chip on contact side), then re-lock this latter.

 To limit SIM card theft-related risks, RTU can also manage automatic PIN code
transmission if this latter is entered into the configuration. This option, however, can
cause problems as, if the configuration is lost, it is no longer possible to communicate with
the remote terminal unit over the GSM network.
