¾ Properties
FAULT
9 6 digital outputs
Following total power supply cut-off (mains and battery absent), the 6 monostable
relays switch to "standby" mode (0 state).
For controlling power devices, the remote controls must be relayed. Furthermore, a
"no-return" diode must be wired in parallel onto the coil of the continuously controlled
relays.
9 1 FAULT output configurable on output no. 6 for checking the power supply
and the correct operation of the remote terminal unit ("watchdog" function).
On power up, the (FAULT) relay switches to "Work" mode. It switches to "Fault" mode in
standby, after a total power cut (mains and battery absent) or if a problem is detected
by the software.
In order to limit surges at the contact terminals of the "S550-6DO" module relays during inductive charge
switching (contactor, relay, etc.), RC circuits (interference filters) should be placed in parallel on the
contactor coils; various references are available in contactor manufacturer catalogs.

¾ Diagnostics
9 The graphical display can be used to view or modify the DO statuses and to check the
module's supply voltage.
DO 3 13.6 V An excessively low supply
voltage (7 Volts) can thus be
easily detected before the module
1 2 3 4 5 W stops working.
