ziprecruiter.com. With my knowledge in the broadcasting and news department, I would be
a great asset to this team and could fill this position with the enthusiasm and dedication
needed.

I recently graduated from Central Michigan University, earning my bachelor’s degree in

broadcasting. To work towards this degree, I participated in the Media Arts Program where I
gained valuable experience by partaking in the news program at CMU. This allowed me to get
used to being on camera in a more realistic setting and get a better understanding of how
news and the creation behind it works.

Nexstar is an ideal work environment for me because it holds workers responsible for editing
and writing news production content. Outside of my studies at CMU, I also shadowed
Courtney Bennet who is a reporter/anchor for Mid-Michigan News. During this time I was able
to gain experience in the creation and revision of content before going live while witnessing
how it works in a more professional setting. This knowledge allows me to have experience for
what this job entails.

I feel that my skills and experience would make me a perfect fit for the reporter position with
