Executive Summary

I member my interview with Anjali Pathak, she was looking for a person who isoutgoing and has
current
updates about the Sale And Marketing world I realised this duringthe first few minutes of the
interview. As l got selected and I realised this was a crucial phase of my life. I was a part of Sale
And MarketingTeam at ILP OVERSEAS.

First phase of my internship was about getting familiar with the Products & Services offered by
ILP OVER
SEAS as well as the Environment (People & Processes) at ILP OVERSEAS. After a few days, I was
put into a team which was looking after the Sale and Marketing.

It was dynamic profile and various tasks were already planned for me by Ms. Anjali Pathak, that
included
researching other competitors profiles and have th e idea of the content to be posted and
checking search engine optimisation used by other competitors and use that to plan same for ILP
OVERSEAS social mediapages and website, which gave me the opportunity to learn content
writing scheduling social media posts and updates, and make the report at end of day of whatever
task I have done in the day.

I worked on different tools and techniques that was suggested to me by Ms Anjali Pathak to get
the knowledge about Sale and Marketing SEO, SMO and how to use those tools to improve SEO of
company's website.

I also worked a little bit on SMM and SEM, however as they require experienced person to actually
work on these as one need to pay for the ads torun. So we worked till saving to draft and not
paying actually and got the idea of how these works.

In the last phase of internship, I was able to increase more visitors to our websites. This was a
great achievement for me because digital marketing is measured by traffic which generated by
the Marketers.
It was a very exciting journey of four weeks. And I got ample opportunities to learn and apply my
knowledge which got. It helped me a lot to contribute to the growth of business. Also along with

DIGITAL MARKETING

Digital marketing (also Online Marketing, Internet Marketing or Web Marketing) is a collective
name
for marketing activity carried out online, as opposed to traditional marketing through print media,
live promotions, tv and radio advertisement. The rapid growth of Digital Marketing Industry is a
direct consequence of the global phenomenon that is the Internet, and effectiveness ofdigital
marketing channels in generating revenue and awareness. Compared to traditional methods of
advertising, Digital Marketing offers rather realistic costs(particularly important for small- and
medium-size businesses and start-ups), accurate targeting and excellent reporting.
DIGITAL MARKETING CHANNELS
1. SEO (Search Engine Optimization)

Search engine optimization (SEO) is the process of affecting the visibility of a website or a web
page in
a search engine's "natural" or unpaid ("organic") search results. SEO may target different kinds of
search, including image search, local search, video search, academic search, news search and
industry- specific vertical search engines.
As an Internet marketing strategy, SEO considers how search engines work, what people search
for, the actual search terms or keywords typed into search engines and which search engines are
preferred by their targeted audience.
Optimizing a website may involve editing its content, HTML and associated coding to both
increase its relevance to specific keywords and to remove barriers to the indexing activities of
searchengines.
Promoting a site to increase the number of ack links, or inbound links, social.

2. SEM (Search Engine Marketing)

Search engine marketing (SEM) is a form of Internet marketing that involves the promotion of
websites
by increasing their visibility in search engine resultspages (SERPS) through optimization and
advertising.

3. Media Marketing (SMM Social)

Social media marketing is the process of gaining website traffic or attention through social media
sites. Social media marketing programs usually centre on efforts to create content that attracts
attention and encourages readers to share it across their social networks. Social media marketing
first started with publishing. Businesses were sharing their content on social media to generate
traffic to their websites and hopefully, sales. But social media has matured far beyond being just a
place to broadcast content.

The major social media platforms (at the moment) are Facebook, Instagram,Twitter, LinkedIn,
Pinterest, YouTube, and Snapchat.

Nowadays, businesses use social media in a myriad of different ways. For example, a business
that is concerned about what people are saying about itsbrand would monitor social media
conversations and response to relevant mentions (social media listening and engagement). A
business that wants to understand

how it’s performing on social media would analyze its reach, engagement, and sales on social
media with an analytics tool (social media analytics). A business that wants to reach a specific set
of audience at scale (would run highly-targeted social media) ads (social media advertising).

The resulting electronic word of mouth (eWoM) refers to any statement consumers share via the
Internet (e.g., web sites, social networks, Instagrammessages, news feeds) about an event,
product, service, brand
or company. When the underlying message spreads from user to user and presumably resonates
because it appears to come from a trusted, third-party source, as opposed to the brand or
company itself Social media in business allows anyone and everyone to express and share an
opinion or an idea somewhere along the business's path to market. Each participating customer
becomes part of the marketing department, as other customers read their comment or reviews.

 SMO (Social Media Optimization)

SMO involves finding out what content performs well for your company on social
platforms and repeating that success. Easiersaid than done. To do this, you’ll figure out
what content your audience is looking for, see where you fit in the social media sphere,
and finally, execute (and then reassess) your strategy.

You may recognize that it’s a similar process to optimizing forsearch engines (SEO). The
big similarity? The goal of getting your content in front of more people Social media
optimization is the process of using social media as a medium to scale your
business’s online presence. Whereassome companies think that only creating profiles
on all social media mediums is enough for a robust digital side, SMO provides an entirely
different outlook.
With social medium optimization, you need to strategically build your marketing plan to connect
on a deeper level with the target audience.

A well-thought-out social media optimization strategy can help you; strengthen the brand,
generate stronger leads, get more visibility in the digital world, and connect with the audience/
community.
The Connection Between SocialMedia and Search

It’s easy to think that all you need to perform well in search is a fast site with comprehensive
content and relevant meta tags. However,Google’s algorithms take many signals into account,
and performance on social media is one such signal. Performance on social media and things
like number of followers and level of engagement can be positive signals for Google. Basically,
if your social media is optimized, you’re likely to perform better in search as well.

If you do a search for an individual or company, social media profiles can appear on the first
results page. For example, if you search for “Inmantec,” you’ll see links to the company’s
Facebook and Linkedin profile below the main company website.

Additionally, people are more likely to connect with people they already know than with brands.
In fact, people are 16 times more likely to read a post about a brand from a friend than from the

brand itself.

That’s why it’s essential to encourage employees to share branded content on social. To optimize
your company’s social media presence, create an organized employee advocacy program and
adopt sharing tools that make it easy for employees to spread the word.

Leverage visual content

Visual content catches the eye as a user is scrolling throughtheir social feed. The more you can
incorporate visual content into your strategy, the better. This is obviously true on image-heavy
platforms like Pinterest and Instagram, but it’s also true on more B2B-friendly channels such as
Twitter.According to a study by Buffer, Tweets that have images get 18% more clicks, 89% more
likes, and 150% more retweets.

The more you can incorporate visual content, the more optimized your social media strategy can
be. And,
to help make sure your images perform well in Google Image Search, make sure you’re being
deliberate about how you
title and tag them.

There are many SMO techniques, but its core tenets are universal Engagement. That
means talking to your fans on social media, andthrough blogging, writing guest posts
on other sites, and even doing informational videos or podcasts Quality content.

Keywords are just one part of the picture – sharable, quality content builds your IRL
reputation and your online reputation. Thebetter your online reputation, the better your
domain authority (which is kind of a big deal for driving traffic to your site) Strategic
social.

Know where your audience is and meet them there!

If you see conversations mostly on your Facebook page and never on LinkedIn, don’t
force
it Prioritize your Facebook presence instead – you don’t have to be everywhere at once
Thought leadership. You may not think of yourself as an industry expert, but you’re the
only one like you! Your perspectives, experiences, and advice are unique and valuable, so
don’t be afraid to share Automation.

You don’t have to do everything from scratch! Good SMOcombines time-saving tools
with your authentic voice. (It’s as close to push-a-button SMO as you’ll get).

Business research is a systematic enquiry that provides information to guide business decision and
aimed to solve managerial problems. Business research is of recent origin and it is largely supported
by business organizations that hopes to achieve competitive advantages Research Methodology is a
way to systematically solve the problems. It may be understood as a science of studying how
research is done scientifically. It include the overall research design, the sampling procedure, data
collection method and analysis procedure.

The data was collected using primary resource (questionnaire and interviews with employees
and candidatures) and secondary resource (Recruitment manual, service rules and Internet).

Getting feedback regarding “Recruitment & Selection” process in ILP OVERSEAS.

RESEARCH DESIGN:-

The research design refers to the overall strategy that you choose to integrate the different
components of the study in a coherent and logical way, thereby, ensuring you will effectively address
the research problem; it constitutes the blueprint for the collection, measurement, and analysis of
data.
A well-planned research design helps ensure that your methods match your research objectives and
that you use the right kind of analysis for your data.
A research design is the plan or framework used to conduct a research study. It involves outlining
the overall approach and methods that will be used to collect and analyze data in order to answer
research questions or test hypotheses. A well-designed research study should have a clear and well-
defined research question, a detailed plan for collecting data, and a method for analyzing and
interpreting the results. A well-thought-out research design addresses all these features.
There are 3 types of researches, which are
 Explorative
 Descriptive
 Experimental
But here we have used EXPLORATORY research design.

In this study, we specify the process of recruitment and selection and how much satisfied they are
with all the procedures done. A research design is the specification of methods and procedures for
acquiring the information needed to structure or solve the problem. It is the overall operational
pattern or framework of the project that stimulates what information is to be collected from which
source and by what procedure. On the basis of major purpose of our investigation the
EXPLORATORY RESEARCH was found to be most suitable. This kind of research has the primary
objective of development of insights into the problem. It studies the main area where the problem
lies and also tries to evaluate appropriate courses of action.

Sampling :-

 Sampling technique - Probability technique

 Sampling type - Simple Random Probability technique
 Sample Poupulation - 200

DATA COLLECTION :-

1. PRIMARY DATA-

Data that has been generated by the researcher himself/herself, surveys, interviews, experiments,
specially designed for understanding and solving the research problem at hand. The primary data is
also called raw data which is collected first hand by the researchers. The primary data is collected
according to the objectives laid out by the research.
Data that has been generated by the researcher himself/herself, surveys, interviews, experiments,
specially designed for understanding and solving the research problem at hand.
The data that is collected first hand by someone specifically for the purpose of facilitating the study
is known as primary data.

QUESTIONNAIRE

PRIMARY SOURCES The data required for the study has been collected from internship.

 QUESTIONNAIRE

SECONDARY DATA -

Secondary data refers to data that is collected by someone other than the primary user. Common
sources of secondary data for social science include censuses, information collected by government
departments, organizational records and data that was originally collected for other research
purposes.
Secondary data is the data that has already been collected through primary sources and made readily
available for researchers to use for their own research. It is a type of data that has already been
collected in the past. Using existing data generated by large government Institutions, healthcare
facilities etc. as part of organizational record keeping. The data is then extracted from more varied
data files.
Such data are as we have seen mostly qualitative in nature.

SECONDARY SOURCES:  The secondary data has been collected from:

 Company brochure
 Internet
 websites ( company )
 Organizational Reports and records
 Case Studies
 Business magazines
 Books
 Journals on e-learning Industry

METHOD OF DATA COLLECTION:-

I have chosen the QUESTIONNAIRE primary methods of data collection due to limited time in hand. I
have examined the collected data for completeness, comprehensibility, consistently and reliability.
I have also gathered secondary date which has already been collected and analysed. For the present
piece of research the investigator has the following methods. –
 Interviews
 Observation
 Questionnaire
ABOUT THE QUESTIONNARE:-

In this method a questionnaire is sent to the HR Manager concerned with a request to check the
questions in the questionnaire. The questionnaire consisted of no. of questions typed in a definite
manner. I have chosen this method of data collection due to low cost incurred, it is free from bias of
the interviewer and respondent has adequate time.

CHALLENGES FACED

 Generating Traffic and leads

With so many options of platforms for marketers to publish their content andeven more ways to
promote
it, it's hard to know where to focus the efforts.
Creating a high quality content which the audience actually want is the biggestchallenge.

 Generating the ROI

Generating high return on investment at initial phase of marketing and promotions were quite low.
Implementing a marketing campaign and executing it is a long term process that requires a lot of
time
and patience before it works out successfully.

 Small Team
When we say digital marketing is a team work, we meant we need a good team for good
marketing, and having a very small team makes it difficult to do all the things and get the good
results, while competitors are investing at good level.

 Less knowledge of services offered by company

As ILP OVERSEAS mainly offers software development services and they work on different
technolog-
-ies like AJAX, Angular, Cyber Security, Backbonejs etc. andwhenever I had to do some description
writ-
-ing for SEO or dedicated technologysocial media post, it was difficult to first search for
technology, read
about that, need to know what is that technology about and that takes a lot of time.
RECOMMENDATIONS TO THE DEPARTMENT

The current Marketing Strategy is not working upto the mark to generate traffic (potential leads)
that are
converting into customers and brand awareness. There are few areas of improvement which I
suggest can be
looked upon for growth

1. The company should collaborate with good digital marketing agencies to improve SEO of their
sites

2. MCN should focus more on paid marketing as their work is related to technology, and their
targeted customers are also updated with latest technologyand to convert them to client, they
should focus more on digital marketing

3. The company should hire more experienced digital marketer to improve their brand awareness.

4. More focus should be given on Search Engine Optimization of the website and the blog. This will
increase the ranking on Google search which will automatically increase the number of visitors.

5. Users who are currently using competitors’ service can be converted to IPL’s Customers by using
the forums or review sites and comparing the advantages & benefits that ILP OVERSEAS offers.
CONCLUSION

Marketing Strategy & Planning is a key factor for the success of any project.
The importance of planning is

To facilitate goals achievementTo facilitate assessment

To reduce risks and loss

To make good decisions To carry out job division

To determine opportunities and threats

So my company mentor already planned and assigned me tasks for me to execute during the
internship period.
For the time period 1 months I did not only learn about area of my interest – Digital Marketing but
also how to make a plan based on data and reports that are generated from tools like Google
Analytics, . I learned how important it is to monitor tasks of the team ,& the importance of Social
Media in business today.
I personally think working in Digital Marketing is not everyone’s cup of tea. Digital Marketers have
to be updated with the changing technology which is proficiently used by their companies viz-a-viz
the competition. Continuous information of what is happening around the world in terms of
Events, Google Updates, Content Management, SEO, is required. ILP OVERSEAS is still in its
growth stage and year-on- year they are expanding not only in terms of customers but also the
services they provide. I feel very grateful to have this dynamic working experience with ILP
OVERSEAS which has opened the doors for me into the future of marketing.
