Single crochet increase/decrease, crocheting in the round, adjustable ring or magic circle
Pattern Notes
-sc is single crochet
-sc2tog is decrease single crochet
-sl is slip stitch
-ch is chain
INSTRUCTIONS
In this Baymax pattern I start every round with 1 ch and end the round by joining with sl,
which you can choose to follow or ignore them. You can should to crochet in round without
joining the round. It has no effect to this doll shape and actually look more beautiful. The reason
I join the round because I don’t have a stitch marker and this Baymax have to finish in time (Very
urgent!!). So you can choose either way is OK.
Body
Use 4 ply worsted weight yarn with white
Rnd 1: Make an adjustable ring and work 6 sc in the ring, sl :: 6 stitches
Rnd 2: 1 ch, [2 sc in next stitch] 6 times, sl:: 12 stitches
Rnd 3: 1 ch, [sc in next stitch, 2 sc in next stitch] 6 times, sl:: 18 stitches
Rnd 4: 1 ch, [sc in next 2 stitch, 2 sc in next stitch] 6 times, sl:: 24 stitches
Rnd 5: 1 ch, [sc in next 3 stitch, 2 sc in next stitch] 6 times, sl:: 30 stitches
Rnd 6: 1 ch, [sc in next 4 stitch, 2 sc in next stitch] 6 times, sl:: 36 stitches
Rnd 7: 1 ch, [sc in next 5 stitch, 2 sc in next stitch] 6 times, sl:: 42 stitches
Rnd 8: 1 ch, [sc in next 6 stitch, 2 sc in next stitch] 6 times, sl:: 48 stitches
Rnd 9: 1 ch, [sc in next 7 stitch, 2 sc in next stitch] 6 times, sl:: 54 stitches
Rnd 10: 1 ch, [sc in next 8 stitch, 2 sc in next stitch] 6 times, sl:: 60 stitches
Rnd 11: 1 ch, [sc in next 9 stitch, 2 sc in next stitch] 6 times, sl:: 66 stitches
Rnd 12: 1 ch, [sc in next 10 stitch, 2 sc in next stitch] 6 times, sl:: 72 stitches

Rnd 44: 1 ch, sc in next 36 stitch, sl:: 36 stitches

Rnd 45: 1 ch, [sc in next 4 stitch, sc2tog] 6 times, sl:: 30 stitches
Rnd 46: 1 ch, [sc in next 3 stitch, sc2tog] 6 times, sl:: 24 stitches
Rnd 47: 1 ch, [sc in next 2 stitch, sc2tog] 6 times, sl:: 18 stitches
Rnd 48: 1 ch, [sc in next stitch, sc2tog] 6 times, sl:: 12 stitches Stuff the remaining space.
Rnd 49: 1 ch, [sc2tog] 6 times, sl:: 6 stitches
Fasten off, it should look like a white pear in picture P.5 and P.6 shows top view of body.

Stuff the fiber firmly

Fasten off, leave the length of yarn for sewing the head to body
Eyes(2)
Use 4 ply worsted weight yarn with black.
Rnd 1: Make an adjustable ring and work 5 sc in the ring, sl :: 5 stitches
Fasten off, leave the length of yarn. Sewing the eye between Rnd 8 and Rnd 12, 8 stitch apart.
