TAVERN28

A Non-combat Wargame of Food, Beer and comradery


How To Play
Fancy version:
REQUIRED ITEMS TO PLAY:
A 14X11 Board or space to play
6x furniture pieces (table/chairs) (28mm Works best)
2x Miniatures or tokens (28mm)
2x D6 dice
A Ruler of 6 inches or more

Peasant Version:
REQUIRED ITEMS TO PLAY:
A 12X10 space to play
A coffee stirring stick (typically 5,5 inches so just assume to the end of the stick for 6 inches)
6 Quarters (tavern seats)
2 Pennies/Nickels or dimes (your characters)
2 sets of 6 pieces of paper or napkin with numbers on them, forming a deck of cards (instead of
a D6 dice)

Setup
Arrange the 6 furniture pieces in a Parallel pattern following the outer edge of the board, Next
place your two miniatures/coins representing the Bar wenches in the center of the board.

Roll Off:
Next, roll the D6 between the two players and whoever gets the highest determines the roll
order.

Starting off:
Whoever rolled the highest goes first, Roll a D6 to determine how many inches they move per
turn, (if a player rolls 2 on the D6, they move 2 inches)

A Table is serviceable when the token is within 1 inch of the table token (Measured from the
center of the miniature)

Roll a D6 to see the result in how well the Bar Wench does in serving the table.
D6 RESULTS

1. The Bar wench clumsily forgets the order completely, return to middle

2. Bar wench Spills beer on the customer, Move back 4 inches.

3. Bar Wench talks too much and is told to leave, Move back 3 inches.

4. Bar wench does most things right but is rude and angers customers. Move back 2
inches.

5. Bar Wench serves customer successfully and customer is happily satisfied (Remove
table token and award a point to the player)

6. Bar Wench goes above and beyond service for the customers table and receives a tip
(Remove table token and award two points to the player)

HOW TO WIN:
The player who receives 6-10 points first or when there no longer is any more tables on the
playing field,tally up the total points and whoever has the highest points is the winner of the
game, they have made a name for themselves in the tavern business and now happily own the
tavern, continuing their dedication and hard work in keeping the tavern as one of the best in
town.
