2. Understand the importance of banks in the loan activities.
3. Understand the role of SHGs in creating credit for the poor
4. Comprehend the role of formal sources of credit for economic development.
1. KNOWLEDGE
Students will develop the ability to understand the importance of banks in the loan activities and the use of
modern day currency.
2. SKILL AND COMPETENCIES
Students would able to – discuss with special focus on key concepts such as Barter system, use of currency
notes and role of RBI.
B. DETAILS OF PEDAGOGICAL STRATEGIES/PROCESS

Brain storming questioning, Random questioning, In text questions will be discussed with students. At the end
discussion session will held.

Students will be divided into groups & each group has been given task.
 Find the problems of Barter system.
 Use of modern day currency.
 Evaluate the role of SHGs in creating credit for the poor
 Find formal and informal sources of credit.
D. NAME 21st CENTURY SKILLS TO BE DEVELOPED :
 Students will work in group and discuss about the role of SHGs.
 Student will know the formal sources of credit.
E. ACTIVITIES/ EXPERIMENTS/HANDS-ON-LEARNING/PROJECTS:
 To collect currency notes and coins.
 The role of Self Help groups shall be explained through relevant examples.
