Introduction
Reliance Retail Ltd. is a subsidiary company of Reliance
Industries. Founded in 2006 and based in Mumbai, it is the
largest retailer in India in terms of revenue. Its retail outlets
offer foods, groceries, apparel and footwear, lifestyle and
home improvement products, electronic goods, and farm
implements and inputs.

The company’s outlets also provide vegetables, fruits and


flowers. It focuses on consumer goods, consumer durables,
travel services, energy, entertainment and leisure, and health
and well-being products, as well as on educational products
and services. It has a total of 3,383 stores as of June 2016 in
India with an area of over 13 million square feet across 210
cities.
OBJECTIVE
Human resource management in reliance retail provides favorable environment for
employees so that people working in organization can work creatively. This
ultimately helps them to develop their creative knowledge, ability and skill.

They try to bridge the gap between individual goal and organizational goal.

They provide a series of facilities and opportunities to employees for their career
development. This leads to job satisfaction and commitment.

HR Department of Reliance Retail manpower planning is given importance so that the
company doesn’t incur any losses due to vacant position .

HR Department of Reliance Retail does its best to make their employees feel comfortable
and vulnerable with the organizational culture .

Employees of Reliance Retail manage to finish their given task on time sometimes even
before the time.

Learning there was not a difficult because of the co-operation employees their had shown.
Conclusion
• Reliance retail is India’s largest private sector enterprise.
Reliance Retail provides an environment of trust and
openness to its employees.

• The company also provides growth and development


opportunities to the employees at every cadre level.

• Training programs are held time to tim e according to the


requirements.

• But some of the Employees are not happy with the work
culture of the organization. They feel they are not treated
well and their opinion and suggestions are not valued.

• There is a good personal and professional relationship


between the employees of the various department.

• Overall an excellent organization to work for. One of the best


organization in terms of system and process.
