In recent weeks there have been questions about whether
the monies collected at weekend Masses go to the Dio-
cese. They DO NOT. The money is being used to pay
the bills we have. We still have to pay our utilities,
maintenance, supplies and salaries . Your contribu-
tions will allow us to stay open as long as possible.

7th for a Meet & Greet at Blessed Trini-
ty. This will include games, food, sharing
about our parishes, and prizes. Please see
the flyers and sign up on the sheets provid-
ed. There is no charge for this adult-only
event.
BUFFALO, NEW YORK
YOUTH RALLY
Family 21 was well represented at the Di-
ocesan Youth Rally. We will soon have a
get-together with our teens to discuss the
event. The vote from those attending the
rally was for an afternoon of bowling. We
need to hear what was good and what we’d like to see done differ-
ently in the future - and to plan future events. Teens who were
unable to attend the rally are also welcome. Watch for more in-
formation in the next couple of weeks!
FIRST COMMUNION SESSION TWO
First Communion Session Two continues this Thursday, May
16th, 6 PM at Ss. Columba-Brigid. Candidates must have com-
pleted Session One with us or have already made First Reconcili-
ation in the past.
BAPTISMAL PREPARATION
A Baptism Class for parents of children under age
7 will be held at 6:30 PM on May 29, at St. Martin
de Porres. This class is for anyone in Family
21. Please call your parish office to register. This
is the last class until fall.
FOOD PANTRY NEWS
The Vineyard Ministries food pantry work day is scheduled for
Saturday May 18th from 9 am until noon. We are located at 25
Roma Avenue, Door 12, Buffalo NY 14215. We hope you will
join us to help! We deliver food to about 50 families unable to
pick up themselves. We need people to sort, pack, load and deliv-
er food to those in need. We also work Mondays, Tuesdays
and Thursdays from 9 am until noon if you are interested in help-
ing out. If you have skills in Excel or Access we would love to

BLESSED TRINITY BIBLE STUDY
Blessed Trinity’s Bible Study is sponsoring a viewing of two epi-
sodes from the PBS Series Ancient Roads: “The Age of the Apos-
tles” and “The Great Missionary.” Join us on Wednesday, May
22, 6:30 PM in the classroom at Blessed Trinity
COLUMBA-RUMBA
Join St. Columba-Brigid in celebrating the Columba-Rumba on
Sunday, June 9th following the 11 AM Mass. Your $25 ticket
includes a BW BBQ dinner with 1/2 chicken and two sides, one
non-alcoholic beverage, two cookies, popcorn, cotton candy &
sno cones. Live music by Al Ferguson and Taken By Storm.
There will also be a beer tent and games.
CHICKEN BBQ
Blessed Trinity will sponsor its fourth annual Chick-
en Barbecue dinner on Saturday, June 15th from 2
to 6 pm. Take Out only. Dinner includes 1/2
Weidner chicken, homemade macaroni salad and
coleslaw, cornbread, and brownie. The price is $15.00. Contact
