Project Objectives
The aim of the project is to develop a web-based application for a specific company. As I work for
this company, I’m aware of the problem area, however, the management will also contribute to the

Project Description
The proposed application will enhance student enrolment process and support system for NVQ Level
3 Diploma in Health and Social Care with 60 and 90 credits. This project will create a comprehensive
online platform to streamline student enrolment, testing of students’ level of skills on entry,
document submission, material access, support booking, certification claims, and administrative
processes. The primary goal is to provide a seamless and professional experience for students while
increasing efficiency and transparency.
Scope of Work / Objectives
1. Student Registration and Entry Test
- Develop a user registration system with credit selection, course duration display, and entry test
functionality.
- Implement automated entry test evaluation
- Send confirmation messages and scores upon successful entry test completion
2. Document Submission
- Enable document submission that specifies document requirements based on the student's
nationality (British or non-British).
- Implement email notifications for students to address missing or additional document requirements.
3. Materials Access
- Develop a user-friendly interface for students to access course materials according to their selected
credit level (60 or 90 credits).
4. Support Sessions Booking
- Enable students to book support sessions with representatives, choosing session type
(offline/online) and preferred dates.
- Display availability information and allow students to select a preferred support representative.
- Implement confirmation emails for booked appointments and a rating system for post-session
feedback.
5. Certification Process
- Streamline the certification claiming process, allowing students to track the progress of their
application.
- Provide students with a temporary certificate while waiting for the official one.
6. Job References / Recommendations
- Create a platform for students to contact admission departments and receive references for job
placement.
7. User Account Management
- Implement a system for students to transition to a dedicated certificate access account.
