NATURE OF JOB:
Design and Development Jobs Responsibilities:
 Implementation of the Project safety management systems during the planning Project Analyzing,
estimation and execution of Pre-commissioning, Commissioning and Startup project phases,
adapting them to the specific needs and any unique risks.
 Good understanding on Reading, Development and reviewing of Process Flow Diagram (PFD),
Piping and Instrumentation Diagram (P&IDs), Logic &Programming diagram, wiring diagram,
loop diagram, Instrument Hook up diagrams, Instrument Index, drawings and specifications.
 Responsible for Preparation and Verification of Instrument Data-sheets, ILD, IO Count
Assignment, IO List Assignment, Cable Schedule, Control Narrative, Cause & Effects, FDR, FDS,
Instrument Block Diagram and Instrument Termination / Interconnection Diagram Details.
 Good understanding on reviewing of FDR, FDS, cabinet’s layout, panel internal inspection, BOM
verification of DCS, ESD, SIS, PLC, SCADA and HMI systems.
Loop Check/Functionality Testing and Commissioning Jobs Responsibilities:

 Commissioning, Integration and Configuration of SIS System, EMERGENCY SHUTDOWN (ESD)

System and Power Shut down system for entire process and plant shut-down of the Process
Control System with SIS.
 Instrument internal Cold and Hot loop checking of all the Automation Process Control Systems.
 Prior Experience in Pre-FAT, FAT, IFAT and SAT process of all Automation Cabinets.
 Testing, Calibration, commissioning and servicing of all types of field instruments, control
valves, On/off valves and Cascading temperature loop, ratio control loop instruments.
 Parameterization of HART and FF Protocol instruments with HART-475& Emerson
Communicator.
 During loop/Function test, simulated the process variable with hand held communicator or
from DCS in manual mode for FF and HART instruments.
 To monitor the function of instruments and Confirmation availability of inputs alarms and
switches on DCS coming from field against Alarm & Trip Set-point List and P&ID. Check Local/
manually the operation, travel of control valves and shut off valves.
  Integration and Commissioning of Tank Farm Management System which includes all types of
field instruments like Radar Level Gauges, Temperature Transmitter, Pressure Transmitters, Flow
Transmitter, Control valves, all types of Control Panel Cabinets, System Cabinets, Marshaling
Cabinets, Power Distribution Panel Cabinets and entire DCS, PLC, ESD System Cabinets.
 Integration and Commissioning of TLF Automation Management System which includes all types
of field instruments like Honeywell BCU, Mass Flow meter, DCV and Earthing Device.
 Exposures in Work Permit System and Safety System.
 Onsite coordination and supervision of Automation Commissioning activities of Control System.
 Promote safety and environmental awareness through inductions, training, inspection and
conducting tool-box talk meeting.
 Gained significant knowledge of Instrument Communication Systems with RS-232/485 Protocols,
Foundation Field-bus, Modbus- Ethernet and TCP/IPs.
 Responsible for health, safety and environmental performance for all personnel and facilities
under their control during Pre-commissioning and Commissioning activities.
Operation and Process Jobs activities:
 Leading a team of 20+ instrument technicians, maintaining to avoid any faulty of instruments and
calibration of all field instruments as per scheduled plan.
 Having knowledge of control room DCS Operator activities Needs to take care of Process /
Operation and calibration activities of instruments in plant.
 Shift Instrumentation Process and Operation of Industries.
 Maintenance and calibration of pneumatic control valves (Pneumatic, Electro Pneumatic), Smart
Type Positioner and part turn actuated valves (Fisher, Siemens, Masoneilan SV-II, Metso etc.,)
 Troubleshooting and up keeping the Instrumentation Equipment’s, systems and protection etc.
 Experience in maintenance during Shutdown and Startup time.
Major Jobs Responsibilities:
 Emerson Delta‐V, Yokogawa Centum‐VP and Prosafe RS‐ DCS Operator for Loop Checking
and Functional Test of types of all Field Instruments and all Control Loop
 Siemens S7-400 / S7-1200 PLC, Honeywell Safety PLC and Process PLC Process Monitoring, Loop
Checking, Operation and Controlling.
 Providing Instruction to Supervisor / Technician as and when required.
 Troubleshooting as per drawing and control wiring modification in Cabinets.
 Calibration of Foundation Field-bus and HART Protocol based instruments,
 Calibration and Trouble-shooting of all types of field Instruments like Level Transmitter, Flow
Transmitter, Pressure Transmitter, Temperature Transmitter, Temperature Element RTD,
Vibration Sensor and Control Valves Positioner.
 Experience in the maintenance and fault finding of electronics and pneumatic instruments and
Process Control System.
 Have on knowledge and experience with various types of instrument and electrical systems,
equipment and software.
 Follow and adhere to standards operational procedures, quality standards, health & safety
requirements and security requirements.
 Maintain Instruments/Electronic assets’ life to deliver optimized operational performance by
conducting and preparing asset condition reports which is necessary for taking a decision in
planning assets’ replacement/refurbishment/upgrade.
 Personally, carries out the more complex maintenance and repair activities of the section, such as
checking and replacing complicated interlocks and shutdown equipment and components.
 Capable for engineering drawing, document review and regular control system maintenance jobs.
 Maintain healthy work atmosphere & safety towards awareness within the group.
