My Personal Testimony as a Believer and Follower of Christ

I grew up in a Christian family. I always enjoy attending Sunday school service when I was a kid. Growing up, I know
that Jesus is the Son of God and that through Him we have “Salvation”. When I was in my high school years, that’s
where I started serving the Lord and be committed in ministry. I started as a Sunday School Teacher for almost 16
years and be part of the Worship Team in our church and started leading the worship as well up to this day. I always
find myself enjoying the presence of God and believing that apart from Him I can do nothing and apart from Him I am
nothing. I continued serving Him the best possible way I can considering that I have a work as a Public School Teacher
that demands time and effort but I know in my heart that my great purpose is for Gods glory. We also experienced
ups and downs in our family and I want to share it with my personal testimony. My father was away from us for a
long time. He started working abroad when I was 10 years old because he wants to be a good provider and we are
blessed and thankful for that. We appreciate him so much because of the willingness and love of our father. Until one
day, when I was in my college days, we found out that he committed a mistake and during that time it caused a great
pain to us. He admitted that he had another relationship with other woman and that that he was being unfaithful to
my mother during that time. He had a son to that woman named Joshua. At first, we cannot accept it right away but
as time goes by, and that through Jesus Christ, we learned that we should forgive our father as God forgave us from
our sin. My father decided to be back in the Philippines and that he is willing to ask and repent to God from what he
did. Through Jesus, we experience complete healing from that experience. One day, we met Joshua and her mom
together with my mom and father here in the Philippines. And we have no hard feelings towards them except the
overflowing love coming from the Lord that we can be an extension of his love and forgiveness the same way how
God forgave us and loved us unconditionally. Another experience of how God works in my life when I had multiple
failures in my examination for nurses here in the Philippines. I took the board examinations 5 times and failed 5
times. I know in my heart that God has another plan for my life beyond my imagination. This gave me an opportunity
to really serve the Lord and be used by him in the ministry while I’m in pain. We can also serve the Lord during bad
times because He truly deserves to be glorified and magnified in our lives. I chose to continually serve Him with all
my heart and with all my might. It wasn’t my plan to take up nursing but because my grandparents helped us a lot
when it comes to our financial needs I had no other option but to take up the course they wanted because my
ultimate dream is to be a Chef in a cruise. I really love cooking and serving my family, churchmates and friends and I
want to explore the world with my passion in cooking and that job of being a Chef in a cruise will be a great help in
achieving my dream but God has another great plan and purpose. I decided to take Units in Education and took the
board examination for teachers and passed the exam. I took the exam once and passed the exam. It is a great
revelation coming from the Lord that from being a Sunday School Teacher, God wants me to be a professional
teacher. Now, I am using this job for me to share the Gospel and share the faithfulness of God on how he has been
faithful to me and to my family as well. I cannot imagine my life without Jesus. I really thanked Him with all the ups
and downs, all the pains that I had to experienced just to see How God can moved mountains, how God can turn our
mourning into dancing, and that God will enable us to surpass all the challenges that awaits us. I know in my heart
that as long as I serve the Lord and submit all the plans to Him, He is faithful enough to answer my petitions
according to His purpose and plan. His ways are higher than our ways. My life verse is from Jeremiah 29: 11, “For I
know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope
and a future.” I will hold on to that promise and I know that God holds my future. He will never leave me nor forsake
me and that when the time is right God will make it happen. I really thanked the Lord for he has been good, that He
is true to His promises and that His love is unending. I give back the glory, honor and praise to our Almighty King.
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. By the help of the Holy Spirit, it will guide us and lead us to the
path that God wanted to our lives and not the path that will lead us to eternal death. God offers eternal life and that
one day Jesus will come and save those who believed and made Him as their Lord and Savior. We are blessed that we
are one of those people who believed and received Jesus as our personal Savior. We should continue living for Gods
glory. I am excited for Gods great plan for me and I pray that I can experience more of Gods faithfulness in your
