Guidelines and Mechanics for Hip- hop Competition

Objective: Igniting the stage with the dynamic moves and infectious rhythms of hip-hop, captivating our school community with a
performance that celebrates diversity and unity.

Here are the guidelines:


1. All entries should have a minimum of eight (8) and maximum of ten (10) members.
2. The duration of the dance should be a minimum of 5 minutes, and a maximum of 7 minutes.
3. Any kind of hip-hop dance is allowed (locking, popping. rump, house, stepping, break-dance, wacking, tutting, vogueing,
party dances, and hip-hop choreography) or any kind of dance with hip-hop as their focal thought of choreography, provided
that the choreographers of the group have the proper knowledge or background to execute it properly.
4. No vulgarity, obscenity, and explicit contents are allowed.
5. Costumes must be decent.
6. Removing pieces of clothing during the performance is permitted provided that it is not offensive or out of character.
7. Baby/face oils or paints/ other substances applied to the body or clothing that may affect the clean dry surface of the area
and the safeties of fellow competitors are prohibited.
8. The music used in the routine must be a minimum of 5 minutes and a maximum of 7 minutes
9. There is no maximum or minimum number of songs/recordings that may be used in the routine and may be edited to
enhance choreography and personal performance.
10. The competitor's music must not contain inappropriate, lewd, or offensive language.
11. If at any time, prior to or during competition, a group member becomes ill or injured, or his/her physical or emotional
condition is at risk by participating, he/she may be declared ineligible to compete and may be disqualified from the
competition.

Guidelines/Mechanics for Bench Cheering Competition

Objective: Through synchronized chants and applause, students create a vibrant atmosphere of support and motivation, fostering unity
and camaraderie. This competition not only showcases academic skills but also highlights the power of collaboration and teamwork.

Here are the guidelines:


1. Each team consists of 30-50 participants per department- to include instrumentalists and props men.
2. Duration: Each performance should be 5 minutes long. The group that goes beyond or falls short based on the time allotted will
be penalized. Every exceeding second will get a 1-point deduction from the total score.
3. Attire: Team is encouraged to wear coordinated outfits reflecting their team spirit and creativity.
4. Recycled props are allowed.
5. Musical instruments are allowed such as "drums, beat box, or any recorded beat, but not way over from music backtrack, or any
techno, tribal and disco music". If the department will be using a recorded beat, make sure to send it to our committee to verify if
it is valid.
6. ONLY hand props are allowed.
7. The decision of judges is final and non-appealable.

CRITERIA FOR JUDGING


1. Creativity and Originality 40 points
-Uniqueness of cheers and chants.
-Innovative use of props, if applicable.
-Incorporation of the theme.
2. Enthusiasm and Energy 30 points
-High energy levels were displayed throughout the performance.
-Crowd engagement and interaction.
3. Synchronization and Coordination 30 points
-Harmony among team members.
-Precision in movements and timing of cheers.

Objective:
The acoustic guitar performance is to enchant and inspire the audience with the soulful melodies and skillful execution of our talented
performers. Through the intimate and evocative medium of acoustic music, we aim to create a captivating atmosphere that resonates
with emotion and leaves a lasting impression.

Guidelines
1. The competition is open to all bonified students of ZPPSU-Vitali.
2. Only acoustic guitar is allowed to be used in the competition to produce a melodious music.
3. Unruly behavior during the final performance is a ground for disqualification.
4. Participants must bring their own guitars on the day of final performance.
5. The participants must carefully inspect their instruments prior to their performance.
6. Each participant is given 2-4 minutes setup time before their performance.

Performance Quality:
1. Fluency: Judges assess how smoothly and confidently the guitarist plays. This includes transitions between chords, finger
picking, and strumming.
2. Articulation: Clarity of individual notes and chords.
3. Rhythm: Consistency in timing and groove.
4. Dynamics: Effective use of volume changes (soft to loud) to add expressiveness.

BPED 220 CULMINATING ACTIVITY


THEME: PHILIPPINE TRADITIONAL DANCE: CELEBRATING THE RHYTHMS OF OUR HERITAGE

Mechanics and Guidelines:

1. The participants must be enrolled in the subject BPED 220: Philippine Traditional Dance
2. The folk dance competition is strictly traditional and folk-based dances of the Philippines.
3. They must execute the correct dance pattern of their chosen folk dance.
4. The participants may choose from any of this folk dances:
-Kapa Malong-Malong
-Pantomina
-Singkil
-Kuratsa
-Habanera Botolena
-La Jota Macadena
5. Costumes and Props must be based on the description of the literature.
6. No medley (combination) of different dances is allowed.
7. The dance must be accompanied by recorded music and live music is not allowed.
8. Group composition must be a maximum of 16 members per group which could be all males, all females, or a combination of males
and females.
9. The decision of the board of judges is final and irrevocable.
10. The winners of this competition shall receive a trophy, certificate, and prizes.
