5. KEY RISKS/CONTROLS

Key risks/controls as identified in the Job Safety Analysis (JSA).

6. METHOD OF RECTIFICATION

6.1 Preparation

I. Identify all conveyor which nozzle covered with putty.

II. Check the putty condition either worst and required chemical to remove.
III. Remove the sensor from nozzle to prevent the sensor damage during cleaning and welding repair.

6.2 Repair

Remove Putty

I. Standby the hand wire brush and sanding pencil grinding for cleaning the putty at nozzle location.
II. By using the hand wire brush, slowly brush the nozzle until the surface clean.
III. Check the cleaning condition, if the putty not remove, shall use sanding grinding.
IV. Start the cleaning using sanding grinding.
V. Keep sanding grinding to ensure thick putty was disappeared.
VI. Clean the nozzle surface using cotton rags if grinding complete and ready for full welding the nozzle.
VII. Ensure that the surface of the nozzle is clear from any chemical composite, dry, and free from dust,

Welding Nozzle

IX. Check the surface condition, by using TIG machine, the nozzle shall be fully welding.
X. The current and Amp shall be suitable with material thickness to prevent the plate deform and incomplete
filling.
XI. Slowly grinding if any defect found after welding and over filling welding.
XII. Welding all the conveyor nozzle which incomplete welding.

6.3 Cleaning welding Joint

I. Grind using sand paper abrasive 320 GRIT on welding location.

II. Clean the surface with cotton rags.
III. After cleaning, use Pickling gel. Stir or shake the gel before use.
IV. Apply the gel with Pickling gel acid-resistant on rusty/welding location.
V. Leave the paste to work up for minimum 10 minutes (Depending on temperature and steel grade).
VI. Remove pickling residues by using a high-pressure water jet or with a stainless steel brush and rinse
VII. with water.
VIII. Clean the surface with cotton rags.
IX. Apply wax polishing buffing wheel compound soap on welding location.
X. Using grinding wool polish disc buffing wheel grind the compound soap to make stainless steel shine.
XI. Wipe the surface with cotton rags to ensure stainless steel shining.
