HISTORY
 Embark on a journey through the history of sunscreen In ancient Egypt, people
used extracts from rice bran and jasmine to protect their skin from the scorching sun.
Fast forward to ancient Greece, where olive oil was a popular choice for shielding

the early 20th century. In 1928, a chemist named Franz Greiter suffered from sunburn
while climbing mount Piz Buin in the Swiss Alps. This experience inspired him to

In the 1930s, Australian chemist Milton Blake introduced the world’s first mass-
