2. VISION AND MISSION

2.1. Vision:

1.To combat deforestation, increase forest cover, restore ecosystem services and
create green jobs.

2.2. Mission:

1. Protect, restore and promote sustainable use of terrestrial ecosystems, sustainably


manage forests and reverse land degradation and reduce biodiversity loss.
2. To strengthen our community's view towards the value of trees and the
environment.
3. Through education and involvement in the social interaction and Green
development, the people of willing to will increase forest cover to a healthy level,
creating a green infrastructure which will ensure ongoing environmental benefits and
help the County adapt to climate change.

3.CORE VALUE

The usefulness or significance of materials based on their content, independent of any


intrinsic or evident value. The integrity is based on adherence to core values—

objectivity, honesty, openness, fairness, accountability, and stewardship. These core
values help to ensure that the research enterprise advances knowledge.

4. TIME FRAME OF THE PLAN:

This time frame allows for a comprehensive and realistic approach to achieving the
outlined goals and objectives. It provides sufficient time for the implementation of
strategies, monitoring of progress, and evaluation of outcomes. The time frame also
enables the university to adapt to evolving trends and challenges in the educational
landscape and make necessary adjustments to ensure the plan's success.

4. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Conceptualizing and coordinating an overall strategy for University work on


sustainable development goals.

2. Developing, fund raising for and implementing programs and campaigns on civil
society engagement and the YOUth Impact program.

3.Work with the Development Officer to create a fundraising plan for YOUth Impact
and other potential programs

4.Work with the Finance Officer to create and monitor budgets for the programs

5. Research potential funding prospects, draft letters of inquiry and concept notes,
write and submit grant applications

6.Build and manage relationships with stakeholders and program partners

7.Program implementation including logistics, training, capacity-building activities,


communication and outreach efforts

8 Monitoring & evaluation of program including reporting to donors

9.Organize related activities such as workshops, online discussions, and educational


initiatives

10.Following/participating in relevant UN processes such as High-level Political
Forum, the UN Statistical Commission and multi-stakeholder and civil society
networks including and the UN Major Groups

11.Keeping members and other constituents updated on developments through the


website, presentations, activities, social media and traditional media

12.Frequent communication on programs as well as thematic updates on


communication platforms

14.Other duties as assigned by the Secretary-General

The advantages of technology transfer accrue to both the major stakeholders, the
university as well as the industry.
