As of 2023 the issue of abortion rights, in the United States

remains an highly debated topic. The laws surrounding abortion

differ from state to state. The discussion about a womans right
to choose continues to be a subject of conversation. To analyze
this situation

Texas has been at the forefront of the abortion debate due to

its implementation of Senate Bill 8 (S.B. 8) also known as the
Texas Heartbeat Act. This law, which came into effect in
September 2021 imposes restrictions on access to abortion. It
prohibits an aspect related to abortions. Furthermore it
empowers private individuals to file cases against those who
perform or assist in an abortion that violates S.B. 8 making it
difficult for abortion providers to challenge its constitutionality.

The Texas Heartbeat Act has faced criticism and legal battles.
Critics argue that it greatly limits a womans right to choose and
effectively results in abortions being banned in the state.
Supporters of this law argue that it is a step towards
safeguarding the rights of children while echoing moral
objections to abortions.

The situation in Texas reflects the divide, within the United

States regarding abortion rights.
The influential ruling, by the Supreme Court in 1973 known as
Roe v. Wade recognized that women have a right to make
decisions about having an abortion. However over time various
legal changes have enabled states to enforce their limitations
on abortion resulting in a landscape of abortion laws, across the
nation.
Religious convictions hold significance when it comes to
discussions surrounding abortion.

In conclusion the abortion rights in the US remain complex whitin so

many factors we talked about. The balance between woman’s
anatomy and sanctity of lifeconception make this debate go whit us
a bit long .
