Ans. A force diagram is a simple diagram showing all the forces
acting on an object. It shows the direction of forces acting on the object,
labelled by arrows.

3. When you stand still, why don’t you sink into the ground? Draw a force
diagram to explain your answer.
Ans. There is a pushing force called normal force which is acting against
gravity.
