Background Information of Nestle

Nestle is one of the largest food and beverage companies in the world. The simple aim of the
company is to unlock the power of food to enhance the quality of life for everyone today and in
the future.
Nestle was formed in 1905 by the merger of “Anglo-Swiss Milk Company” (1866), the
mother company of Nestle. As of 2020, Nestle has 273,000 employees working for the company
that operates worldwide and has sales of CHF 84.3 billion.
As a large and multinational company, Nestle is highly rooted in its mission and vision, which
outline the strategic direction for the company’s activities.
Mission: The mission statement of Nestle is “to enhance the quality of life and contribute
to a healthier future”. This mission explains the company’s commitment to emphasizing a
healthier and happier world.
Vision: Nestle's vision is “to be a leading, competitive, Nutrition, Health, and Wellness
company delivering improved shareholder and societal values”. This vision reflects Nestle’s
ambition to not only be Fortuner in the industry but also make a difference in society.

As a multinational company, Nestle started its journey in Bangladesh in 1992. Throughout all
these years Nestle Bangladesh has offered various products and services to its customers. Maggi,
Nestea, Nescafe, Milo, Nido, Lactogen, etc are the most popular brands of Nestle in Bangladesh.
The factory of Nestle Bangladesh is recently located in Sripur, Gazipur. Nestle follows a no-
compromise policy regarding quality and safety.
