"The Effect of Scientific Infographics on Knowledge Retention in
Grade 12 STEM Students at St. Bernadette College of
Valenzuela"
Research Design: Experimental
Research Type: Quasi-Experimental
This study employs a quasi-experimental design with a pre-test/post-test control group
to assess the impact of scientific infographics on knowledge retention.
2. What role do individual learning styles and preferences play in influencing the
effectiveness of scientific infographics on knowledge retention in Grade 12 STEM
students at St. Bernadette College of Valenzuela?
3. How does the mean knowledge retention score of Grade 12 STEM students
exposed to scientific infographics is different from the mean knowledge retention
score of Grade 12 STEM students who are not exposed to infographics?
Objectives:
1. To determine the extent to which the use of scientific infographics enhances
knowledge retention in Grade 12 STEM students at St. Bernadette College of
Valenzuela.
Scientific infographics have gained attention as visual aids that present complex
scientific concepts in a visually appealing and simplified manner, enhancing students
cognitive processes and knowledge retention. However, there is a gap in research
regarding the specific effects of scientific infographics on Grade 12 STEM students. This
study aims to investigate the impact of scientific infographics on knowledge retention at
St. Bernadette College of Valenzuela. Using a quantitative research design, pre- and
post-tests will be conducted on an experimental group receiving infographics-based
instruction and a control group receiving traditional instruction. The findings will
contribute to the understanding of scientific infographics' effectiveness in improving
knowledge retention among Grade 12 STEM students, informing educators and
policymakers to enhance teaching practices and learning outcomes.
