28.1 – MEMBRANE FOR BASIN TIGHTNESS WATERPROOFING


IRRIGATION BASIN WORKS
Scope:
• Supply and placing of membrane for basin tightness waterproofing.
• Cleaning of the working area, removing leftovers, wire and any other element or substance that
may be harmful, according to Site Management, during and at the final of the works.
• Geometrical control and identification, preparing dimensional Protocols.
• Quality control, preparing and completing the Inspection Points Program (IPP), dimensional
Protocols and Constructive Procedure. They must be approved by PURCHASER, before starting
the works.
• Works, equipment and necessary Health and Safety installations to accomplish the works,
according to the Site Safety Plan.
• Correction of the constructive plan in its last revision, in red colour hand written form, by way
of “As Built” drawing.

Remarks:
Geosynthetic rollers must be properly packaged and transported to prevent damage.
The unloading and storage of membranes responsibility of the SUPPLIER.
The unloaded materials will be deposited on a soft surface free of any debris that may damage
the membranes
Quality control tests must be performed by the manufacturer to ensure that the equipment
meets the requirements laid out in the specifications
Material:
The base material used in manufacturing geomembranes shall be polyethylene resin containing no
more than 2% (by weight) of recycled material and meeting the following requirements:
minimum density (ASTM D792 Method A or ASTM 1505): 0.940 g / cc
Melt Index (ASTM D1238, Condition 190 / 2.16): 0.1 to 1.0 g / 10 minutes
The membrane shall be made up of at least 97% polyethylene resin (ASTM D 1248) between 2 and
3% carbon black (category 3 or lower according to ASTM D 1765 with a dispersion of category
A1, A2 or B2 according to ASTM D 1663) and a 1% maximum of additives.

• Membranes shall be measured by area (s.m. – square meter) to be calculated on the basis of
the dimensions indicated in construction/As-built drawings or as directed by the Engineer-in-
Charge.
• Overlaps and turn-ups shall not be measured.
Unit rates:
The unit rates and prices shall include the costs of providing all labour, materials equipment and all
necessary ancillary or incidental items. The unit rates and prices shall include the following items by
way of example and not by way of limitation.

28.2 – GEO-MEMBRANE PROTECTION


IRRIGATION BASIN WORKS
Scope:

28.3 – FLOATING FLEXIBLE GEO-MEMBRANE FOR PROTECTION


IRRIGATION BASIN WORKS
Scope:
• Supply and placing of floating flexible geo-membrane. CoverTeck 380 Plus or similar equivalent
typology.
• Cleaning of the working area, removing leftovers, wire and any other element or substance that
may be harmful, according to Site Management, during and at the final of the works.
• Geometrical control and identification, preparing dimensional Protocols.
• Quality control, preparing and completing the Inspection Points Program (IPP), dimensional
Protocols and Constructive Procedure. They must be approved by PURCHASER, before starting
the works.
• Works, equipment and necessary Health and Safety installations to accomplish the works,
according to the Site Safety Plan.
• Correction of the constructive plan in its last revision, in red colour hand written form, by way
of “As Built” drawing.

Remarks:
• Floating.geo-membrane shall have a black internal support for better UV resistance.
• The system shall present a robust construction of the support in order to have good resistance
to tensile stress and tearing.
Material:
The base material used in manufacturing geomembranes shall be Geo-membrane impermeable in
Reinforced Poly-ethylene, with base support in HDPE
Measurements:

28.4 – GEO-GRID FOR DEGASIFICATION


IRRIGATION BASIN WORKS
Scope:
• Supply and placing of geo-grid for degasification.
• Cleaning of the working area, removing leftovers, wire and any other element or substance that
may be harmful, according to Site Management, during and at the final of the works.
• Geometrical control and identification, preparing dimensional Protocols.
• Quality control, preparing and completing the Inspection Points Program (IPP), dimensional
Protocols and Constructive Procedure. They must be approved by PURCHASER, before starting
the works.
• Works, equipment and necessary Health and Safety installations to accomplish the works,
according to the Site Safety Plan.
• Correction of the constructive plan in its last revision, in red colour hand written form, by way
