EARTH WEEK PROGRAMME(2024-25)

DAY 1: 22.04.24
Clean up and recycle
Venue: Classroom
Timing: Zero period
1. Students can prepare a scrapbook from board work litter, used materials and the
scraps at home.
2. Any old notebook or textbook covers etc. which is lying useless at home can
be recycle and utilized to design a beautiful scrapbook.
2. This will be a competition in the form of an individual activity. Best 3
creativities will be selected from IX and X.
3. The criteria for judgment will be
a. Eco friendly rating.
b. Creativity in use of waste material
c. Presentation
d. Utility of the product
e. economy involved
4. The class teachers can collect the best 2 artwork from their class and submit it to
the incharge Dr. Archana Gupta

Day 2: 23.4.24
Best out of waste.
Venue- Classroom
Timings- Zero period

1.Students can create artwork using recycled materials or repurpose old items into
something new. 2.This will be a competition in the form of an individual activity.
Best 3 artwork will be selected from IX and X.
3.The criteria for judgement will be
a.Eco friendly rating.
b.Creativity in use of waste material
c.Presentation
d.Utility of the product
4.The class teachers can collect the best 2 artwork from theirclass and submit it to
the incharge Ms. Hemalatha R Kumar.

DAY 3: 24.04.2024
Documentary screening on Earth Day by Krishna Das Sir.
Day 4: 25.4.24
Grow your own food
Venue- C block, Ground Floor
Timings- Zero period

1.Students need to bring plant for kitchen garden/herb garden in earthen pots.
2.This will be a learning and competitive activity among which best
3 students/plants will be selected from IX and X.
3.The criteria for judgement will be
a.Eco friendly rating
b. Skill in planting/gardening
c.Presentation
d. Medicinal/Health benefit of the plant
4.The class teachers can select 2 students who are interested in the activity and for
further guidance students can contact the in charge Ms. Jyoti Agrawal.

Day 5: 26.4.24
Under Zero Waste Lunch we are organising a NO FOIL DAY
Venue- Classroom
Timings- Zero period

1. A zero-waste lunch day will be organised where students bring lunches with
little to no packaging, and any waste generated is properly sorted for recycling or
composting
Students can conduct the following activities: (Suggested)
A. Creative presentation of fruits and salads
B. Creative representation of food on banana leaf
C. Bring food with no foil protection (showcase zero waste packaging)
D. Tutor your peers about creating healthy reusable snack bags
E. No packaged food to be brought to school
