dramatic decline in passenger count and market share loss highlight the urgency for a
comprehensive turnaround strategy to restore financial stability and operational excellence.
Our proposed solution entails a meticulous analysis of SpiceJet's financial health, operational
efficiency, safety protocols, and customer satisfaction benchmarks. Through rigorous

SpiceJet Limited has a vision for total customer satisfaction and enhancing stakeholders' value.
SpiceJet's mission is to become India's preferred airline with the highest consumer value through
honest and ethical conduct of the business.
SpiceJet, a prominent player in India's aviation sector, faces a critical juncture marked by
substantial financial losses and operational deficiencies. With a staggering net loss of ₹1503
crore and a mounting debt of ₹7349 crore in 20231( Annual report 2022-23. (n.d.)), the airline's
financial stability is severely compromised, exacerbated by volatile fuel prices that account for a
significant portion of operating expenses. Operational inefficiencies further compound the
situation, with SpiceJet recording the lowest on-time departure rate among Indian airlines,
standing at a mere 61%2 (Saxena, 2023).
Furthermore, SpiceJet has experienced a dramatic decline in passenger count, plummeting from
around 24 million passengers in FY20 to just 9 million passengers in FY223(SpiceJet: Passenger
Traffic 2022, 2023). This decline has also translated into a loss of market share, with SpiceJet
losing approximately 30% of its share price value over the past 5 years4. Moreover, safety
incidents and regulatory scrutiny have tarnished SpiceJet's reputation, evident in its modest
