Project documentation

1 Hardware project documentation

1.1 Type of documentation drawings

The control cabinets and combined devices built and tested by HIMA are
supplied with corresponding project documentation. The hardware struc-
ture consisting of the mechanical structure, the arrangement of compo-
nents and the electrical interconnection of these parts is documented.
The project documentation is created via the CAD-System ELCAD ® of the
company Aucotec.
The project documentation is available either in german or english.

1.2 Delivery of project documentation

The documentation drawings are supplied as follows (cf. also Options:
multiple sets of drawings):
a) Release for production (1 x)
b) Delivery State (1 x)
The delivery of the project documentation is made optionally in the follo-
wing fomats:

Format Medium
PDF, DXF, DWG (AutoCAD V14), ELCAD V7 CD
A4 Paper

Explanatory notes
The release of these drawings relates in principle to the realization and im-
plementation of the agreed requirements. The fact that authorization has
been given does not dispense HIMA from ensuring appropriate execution
and function in accordance with the technical documents or the order.
Any customer comments in the release set are included in the „Delivery
state“ version as far as they comply with the contract agreements on the
type of documentation. The project documentation is supplied as „Delivery
state“ version.

1.3 Options
To implement individual customer requirements for the documentation the
following options are offered at extra charge:
• "As built" documentation
Amendments and supplements resulting from start up are adopted
based on the on-site documentation.
• Connection drawings in CSV/Excel format
For further processing of the HIMA project data the following infor-
mation is available:
- terminal connections
- tag numbers
- first internal point of connection, e.g. at the module
• Additional entries:
- the customer’s terminal connections
- external cable identifications
- additional text (drawing numbers, heads of drawings, etc.) which
do not correspond to DIN
- identifications according to the power plant identification keys
(KKS)
• Loop drawings with external entries
• Multiple sets of drawings
quantity, type (transparent, transparent films, paper) or format (A 4,
A 3) depending on the project specifications
• Language of the country of the application
Apart from the standard versions in german or english a translation
into other languages is possible (mainly EU languages). The kind of
language as well as the actual amount of work involved needs to be
identified before quotation.

1.4 Explanatory notes on the documentation

The project documentation is available either in german or english and
consists of the following parts:
• Job Cover Sheet
• List of drawings
• Legends
• Mechanical construction drawing
• Arrangement of terminal strips
• Arrangement of equipotential strips
• Allocation of modules
• Power distribution / Power supply
• Circuit diagrams
• Terminal drawings / connector diagrams
The following examples show the scope and the typical representation of
the above items.

List of drawings
The list of drawings contains all drawings belonging to the documentation.

5
Project documentation Hardware project documentation

Mechanical construction drawing

This drawing contains all built-in parts including their identifications.

Arrangement of terminal strips

The terminal strips are represented in a diagram with strip numbers, quan-
tity and types of system parts (terminals, relays, etc.)

6
Hardware project documentation Project documentation

Allocation of modules
The allocation plan shows the complete equipment (types) according to
the mechanical construction. The allocation per subrack is indicated to-
gether with the information in which sections of the circuit diagram the re-
spective functions are shown.

Power distribution / Power supply

The power distribution drawings show the supply of 24 V DC (5V DC), the
distribution and fusing of the lines to the connected loads. The power sup-
ply drawings show the supply of the input/output subracks with 5 V DC.

Project documentation Hardware project documentation

8
Hardware project documentation Project documentation

Circuit diagrams
The functional modules (e.g. annunciator modules) are represented with-
out their logical functions.
The graphic symbols, ports and connections are represented according to
DIN 40900 / IEC 617.

The circuit diagrams contain the following information:

• Slot number, type and connector pins of modules
• Direction designations on interrupted lines
• Terminal connection identifications of the HIMA part;
marshalling terminals outside the HIMA part are shown but not
marked. The marking can be entered at an extra charge.
• The field contacts bear the tag number. Relay contacts are repre-
sented in de-energized state.
• The power supply of the modules is represented only once centrally
in the power distribution drawing.

Terminal drawings / connector diagrams

All terminal specific information such as tag, internal designation and color
of the wire are shown.
The first external designation (connection) is shown but not marked. The
marking can be entered at an extra charge.

Project documentation of the function logic Project documentation

2 Project documentation of the function logic

If the function logic is created by HIMA via ELOP II-NT, we supply also a
documentation printout, which consists of:

2.1 Print out of the documentation

Project documentation
• Cover Sheet
• List of contents
• Documentation of the project specific function and function block
types, each consisting of variables list and logic
• Documentation of the program types, each consisting of variables
list and logic
• Documentation of the project specific data types
• Cross reference list for global variables
Documentation of the configuration
• Bus-configuration
• Interface parameters
• PES-Master code generator errors
• PES-Master cross reference list
Documentation of the resource
• Cabinet layout
• Racks
• Modules
• System parameters
• BUSCOM variables
• 3964R variables
• HIPRO-N/-S variables
• Lcl variables
• Tag / variables cross reference
• Code generator errors
Quantity:
One set of printouts in A4 format, „Delivery state“ version.
The following examples show the typical representation of the printout.

Project documentation Visualization Project documentation

2.2 Delivery of files

The function logic is delivered in two sets of disks or CD ROM (depending
on the size of the logic) in „Delivery state“ version.

3 Project documentation Visualization

The visualization projects are delivered in two sets of disks or CD ROM
(depending on the size of the logic) in „Delivery state“ version.

4 System documentation
The system documentation is available in German or English. It is not part
of the project documentation. The project documentation is completed
with parts of the system documentation as far as necessary.

4.1 Programmable Electronic Systems

With each central rack the system documentation is delivered on CD. The
current version of the CD is available on request.
The system documentation is also available on paper (catalog) at an extra
charge.

4.2 Electronic Systems

With each rack the system documentation is delivered on CD. The current
version of the CD is available on request.
The system documentation is also available on paper (catalog) at an extra
charge.

4.3 Peripheral and External devices

Operation manuals / data sheets for peripheral and external devices are
not part of the project documentation. They will be supplied - also for mul-
tiple delivery - at an extra charge if available from the supplier.
