Dear Students,
The summer holidays provide an excellent opportunity to consolidate your learning, enhance your
creative skills, upgrade your strengths, and work on your weaknesses.
Fun-filled and thought-provoking activities included in the homework will reinforce your learning,
contribute to your progress, cultivate a healthy temperament towards mastering different concepts
& skills, and contribute responsibly as world citizens.
Besides, there are plenty of productive ways to keep you rejuvenated and intrigued.
This summer break, embark on a journey of fun and adventure by reading books, exercising,
meditating, playing outdoor sports, dancing, and many more to channel your energy in a positive
manner. Participate in the household chores and support your family in all possible ways.
In addition, maintain the momentum and rigour that has been built in the learning through the
last few weeks. Plan out, revise the syllabus already done and complete the holiday homework
neatly.This year, your holiday homework is designed to ensure that you enjoy to learn and learn to
enjoy. Special attention has been taken to ensure that you use your creativity, innovative ideas,
and imagination to express through fantastic ‘creation……

❖ Roll the sheet after completion and place it subject-wise in the pen holder prepared as the
artwork on Day 11.
❖ Students need to read the guidelines given below by the respective subject teachers.
❖ They need to submit homework (the pen stand) to the Class teachers on the re-opening day
in the month of June and later it will be evaluated by the respective subject teachers.
❖ Enjoy doing your homework, follow the instructions given by the teacher.
Each subject homework
carries 5 marks under Internal Assessment - Portfolio.

ENGLISH:
Initial Steps
1. Read the book carefully, taking notes on material that you think may be relevant or quotable
and on your impressions of the author's ideas and arguments.
2. Determine the author’s principal argument, the chief themes of the text, the kinds of
evidence used, and the way in which the author uses them.
2. In no more than two paragraphs, introduce the book. Give your initial appraisal of the work,
including your key observation of the text. Begin with an anecdote, a challenging quotation,
or a key observation.
3. Describe the author’s arguments and the themes of the book, and give your appraisal of their
validity and effectiveness.
4. Describe the sources and evidence the author uses to prove his case, and evaluate their
appropriateness and sufficiency. What are the author's sources? Should the author have used
more, or different, sources?
6.Conclude. Here you may make more general remarks about the text and the ideas presented
in it. If you have not already done so, indicate whether you feel the book is worthwhile, and for
what audience. Is the book outstanding? Will it make a lasting contribution to its field, or is it
less satisfactory?

The season of fruits mango, jamun, jack fruit, oranges etc have come. Our request to all
of you is kindly don’t throw the seeds. Wash them and pack and keep them in your car,
bike, cycle. Whenever you go out and find barren land while traveling on a highway,
throw these seeds.
They will germinate easily in the monsoon season. If this act can help to contribute to a
single tree each to our world,our mission will be successful !
