Essay Plan- A.

plan

Hello my name is ryan, for a student I ‘m curious about animal winter life, now in my essay I will
compare and contrast the winter life of ground squirrels and monarch butterflies, include their habbits,
definition and what they usually do before winter .

first lets talk about ground squirrel, what make them different with the other squirrel ? on my research
base on skedaddlewildlife .com is Ground squirrels are rodents of the squirrel family that generally live
on the ground or in burrows, rather than in trees like the tree squirrels also Ground squirrels tend to
be larger with sizes ranging from seven to eight inches in length and weights ranging between eight to
fourteen ounces. Tree squirrels are smaller. This size helps them to handle life in their tree nests
comfortably. Tree squirrels have earned their name because they prefer to nest in trees.

Adult monarch butterflies have two pairs of bright orange-red wings with black veins and white spots
around the edges. Males are slightly larger than females and have characteristic black dots along the
wing veins. Each adult butterfly only lives for about four to five weeks also Far Extending and Wide
Ranging. Monarch butterflies may be found throughout North America feeding on milkweed, their toxic
host plant. Monarch butterflies live mainly in prairies, meadows, grasslands and along roadsides, across
most of North America based on world wild life and national park nature.

When falls start and winter comes, animals in the wild prepare for the blistering environment for their
survival as there are not much food and too cold to live. Ground squirrels and monarch butterflies prepare
winter in their own way of surviving, when winter enrives ground squirrels will nestle deep in its
unbderground burrow and go in to hibernation
