Introduction:
As a requirement for my course in CC209 Seminars and Field Study, I was given the opportunity

to an Educational Tour in Manila-Laguna-Cavite. The Educational Tour lasted for three days

from November 21 to 23, 2023 and provide me with the opportunity to apply my theoretical

knowledge to know more about technology and situations in a real-life work environment. In

this narrative report, I will discuss my experiences and lessons I have learned during my three

days educational tour in Manila-Laguna-Cavite. I will also reflect on how this experience has

contributed and how it has prepared me for future employment opportunities.

Francisco, Jeany Ignacio and Sir Edison Silvestre , to our tour coordinator Ms. Ella Gimotea and

our agency Iloilo Skyways Travel and Tours for providing me the opportunity to experience this

kind of educational tour. This journey wouldn’t have been successful without the collective

effort and commitment of each individual involved. I would also like to thank all the employees

who assisted during the company’s visit. Their willingness to share their knowledge and

expertise in the field of technologies with me helped me to gain a practical understanding

about technologies. Thank you all for making my Educational Tour a memorable and fruitful

Learning Experiences during the Tour:

According to Stephen from A Backpacker’s Tale “The biggest addiction a person can have is discovering
the unknown. Once it takes hold, there is no getting out and the only way to get your fix is by pushing
yourself out of your comfort zone and exploring new horizons, cultural, and places.

Eversince I was a child, I dream of traveling to some destinations, so when our subject teacher
announces that we have an educational tour to Manila-Laguna-Cavite for three days for the fulfillment
in our subject in CC209(Seminars and Field Study),brought me so much joy in my heart. I am so excited
that I burst out in tears upon hearing the word tour. Finally I can say to myself that I step a foot to the
place called Manila, I personally saw Tagaytay and breathe the fresh air there and the awesome scenery
in my eyes.

On the day of our educational tour we gather at West Visayas State University- Pototan Campus at
exactly two in the morning. Me, my classmates and the students of Information System prepare
ourselves for the ride that we will took going to Cabatuan airport. We took some photos, had some
conversations and some jokes so that we get comfortable to each other while waiting for the others to
come. When we are already complete and the tour vans already came we took our enjoyable ride going
to the airport. We are so excited and overwhelmed with joy. We took some selfies, check ins our
baggages and waited for our departure time. Then the time has already come, we go to our designated
area to took the airplane going to Manila. Some of us was its first time riding in an airplane so we
treasured every moment and took photos of the view outside the plane’s window. Our trip took one
hour before we arrived at Manila. When we arrived there we took a bus accompanied by our tourist
guide for three days.While we are travelling the tourist guide talks about the places that we will visit
and,cultures, origins and some stuffs. While he is talking and throwing some jokes, slowly he gains our
trust so that we can be comfortable with him. On the fist day of our educational tour we visit the city of
Biñan, I am truly amazed of their place because they have their own radio station that delivers news,
entertainment and some stuffs and the Command Control and Communication Center that
controls hundreds of cctv’s in their place that checks if there is flood, bad weather,fire,
accidents,crimes and heavy traffic so that they can respond with immediate help. Then we go to
the famous Alberto Mansion, where we get to know the inside of their mansion,Rizal’s
childhood, and his origin. Then we go to Tagaytay which is known for the people’s park in the
sky, where we get to see the beautiful sceneries, view of Taal Lake and Volcano, and the cool breeze
in Tagaytay. We took our dinner at a buffet. Foods, desserts, and drinks looks delicious in our eyes. We
ate so much food and go to our hotel because we are already exhausted that we slept in the bus during
our trip. We are staying at Kabayan Hotel for three days. On the second day, we go to PTV Network or
People’s Televison Network. We personally met the news anchor who delivers news for the
government. We learn so much stuffs and get to see high end technologies. Then we go to Rizal
park,took some photos and learn some history.Then we go to Top Peg Animation, where we see

animators and their works, we are amazed by their skills. We go to Okada Manila after, we are in awe of
the sights, structures and vip people that we see, and the famous dancing fountain of the casino hotel.
Then we go to dinner and go back at our hotel. The most memorable experience I have in our last night
at Kabayan hotel is we get to stroll around and experience the Manila sidewalk at night.We buy some
snacks at the nearest grocery store, return in our rooms and share some conversations. On the third day
of the educational tour we check out at the Kabayan hotel and then we visit the DOST PAGASA where
we see the latest technologies and have some learnings. And after that we go to Mapua University, it is a
huge university with the latest technologies.It is a beautiful school and they offer many courses with an
advanced learning. After that we travel again a couple of hours going to Ninoy Aquino International
Airport returning back to Iloilo. We thanked our tourist guide and the staffs for our
enjoyable,unforgettable and awesome experience that we had in our trip.

When the plane landed at Cabatuan airport I felt a little bit of sadness because it is also the time that we
will be stressed again to our academic tasks and activities involving finance but also I am so glad that we
get to see and experience the things that we just able to see on social media. And, to end my
experiences and learning s in our three day educational tour, here’s the famous saying from Miriam
Beard “travel is more than the seeing of sights;it is a change that goes on, deep and permanent, in the
ideas of living”
