I have had the pleasure of teaching Avona Hernandez in AP Language and Composition class at
El Capitan High School. From the first day of class, Avona impressed me with her strong
academic knowledge and her work ethic. She worked well with other students and her work was
completed on time. She was always willing to help others.

Miss Hernandez is also active in CSF. In addition to her academics, she has completed hours
as a community volunteer. Specifically, helping the flood victim in Planada, Ca. when they
experience a devastating flood. She describes herself as: smart, kind, and empathetic. I would
concur with her self-assessment. I am certain that Avona Hernandez is going to continue to do
great things in her future.
