Krakow Underground Museum
This hi-tech museum takes visitors four meters under the surface
of the market square to explore the medieval merchant stalls that
predate today’s Cloth Hall, to experience the city’s entire histo-
ry. Because of the museum’s popularity, timed tickets should be

Kościuszko Mound
A unique destination with the most beautiful views of the Wawel
Castle, St. Mary’s Basilica, and the main square. Climbing to the
peak is tiring work, but the panoramic views are a worthwhile re-
ward. The surrounding fortifications also house several small his-

Mercy Brown Bar
One of the hidden gem located in the Smakolyki restaurant, ac-
cessed through the cloakroom. Once inside, the vintage decor of-
fers a small glimpse of what life was like in Kraków in the 1920s –
there’s soft lighting, chandeliers and frilly lampshades, velveteen
couches and golden drapes. Regular events include burlesque

Ice-cream on Starowiślna
The best ice cream is found at Lody na Starowislnej. For the past
30 years, they’ve been serving up an uncomplicated menu of fla-
vors: vanilla, chocolate, blueberry, wild strawberry, raspberry,
