Death and Funeral Announcement

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of


Mama Elizabeth Andayi Alwang’a, which occurred on
Saturday, 2nd September, 2023.
She was daughter to the late Ibrahim Onyango and the
late Jerusa Mukoma. Daughter-in-law to the late Ang’ani
Okato and the late Salome Mukolwe.
Loving Wife to the late David Alwang’a Ang’ani.
Beloved mother to Dr. Habel Alwang’a, Joyce Alwang’a,
Recenillah Awinja, Renold Mbeche, William Aywa and
Harrison Okato.
Mother-in-law to Irene Ogutu, Kenneth Katieche,
Gershom Ndoriyonjjya, Loshe Dapash, Caroline
Omwaka and Winnie Mageto.
Grandmother to David, Davis, Darrel,Tashai, Shannel, Ivy,
Latoya, Zahara, Elizabeth, Leon, Kimberly and Cheche.
Sister to the late Harrison Elambo, Aggrey Emituko,
the late Jonathan Omusula, Alfred Okili, Joshua Aduyu,
William Akumu, the late Davis Bweya and the late
Jeniffer Alingi. Sister-in-law to the late (William Aywa,
Peter Anene, Andrew Mukubwa, Ainea Ang’ani), Dinah
Mama Elizabeth
Ang’ani and Agnes Awinja.

Nyaabana Nyene the late Daniel Ogutu, the late Hilder
Ogutu, Jotham Omondi, Florence Omondi, Andrew Ntalyrusha, Feibi Witonzi, Meitamei Olol Dapash,
Silantoi Mosoni, the late John Omasi, the late Mary Awinja, Daniel Mageto and Margret Mageto.
Family and friends are meeting daily at her home in Ikonyero, Kakamega County for prayers and burial
preparations from 5:00pm.
The cortège will leave Kakamega Referral Hospital Funeral Home on Friday, 8th September, 2023 for
service and viewing at her village home in Harambe, Malava Constituency, Kakamega County.
Thereafter, the cortège will leave for her final resting place at Ikonyero Village, Lurambi Constituency,
Kakamega County. The funeral service will take place at Ikonyero Primary school grounds, along
Kakamega - Mumias Road on Sunday, 10th September, 2023.
